I actually agree with this problem. I'm trying to upgrade an autorifle...but they won't drop for the life of me! I can't seem to stop getting hand cannons and fusion rifles though. It's absolutely useless to what I'm trying to achieve! Those of you who can't say anything productive and just say "it makes it too easy" or "just grind" are blind to the problem! The problem with infusion is that if your luck with RNG is horrendous with the weapon type you want to infuse, it could be a long long time before anything of the same type drops. In my case I want to beef up an auto rifle...but I can't. BECAUSE MY AUTO RIFLE RNG IS ATROCIOUS. This is all down to luck. Destiny 1's final infusion system was PERFECT.
