5 RepliesI know I've been extremely vitriolic towards Bungie and D2, but I must have missed something.... ARE our D1 Exotics returning in D2!?!? Is there a list of those Exotics? Because this would finally give me something to be really, really positive about with D2!!! Anyone? Can anyone help a Vampire out with some knowledge here? :D

I agree that it would have been better to see the returning exotics further down the road so the loot pool at the start of this game would only be the new exotics.

All destiny 1 dlcs were like 90% reskins.

Almost 90% of returning exotics are changed enough with their exotic perks to be an upgrade. Only 2 exotic weapons are returning. ITS FINE.

2 RepliesDon't a lot of the returning exotics actually have something new about them though that might make them more appealing? I am actually quite curious as to what the mint multi-tool looks like and what bonuses you get when you have them paired together. Also, a lot of games that have had sequels have also had returning gear, Borderlands being the most recent example of this as well (Here's a list of ones returning in Borderlands 2, all of them are the same weapon with just new models: https://steamcommunity.com/app/49520/discussions/0/616189106475188657/).

4 RepliesFrom a story perspective, disregarding the fact some weapons were crafted by master weaponsmiths or some crap like that, would you not try and remake the weapons lost in the attack? If you lost a rocket badass gun that you had owned for three years and that had gotten you out of countless situations and possibly saved the galaxy multiple times would you not try to reforge it? No. First people whine about losing their character from D1, now people complain that stuff not nearly as important as an entire character is returning and that is equivalent to burning down an orphanage to some people.

The M16 returned for Call of Duty games, no one complained. The E-11 stormtrooper rifle returned for the original Battlefront, original Battlefront 2, Battlefront EA, and the upcoming Battlefront 2 EA, nobody complained. Mario's feet returned for all his games, nobody complained. The neutron assaült rifle returned for the TF: Cybertron series, nobody complained. It's not like Ghaul dëstroyed EVERY D1 weapon ever. He only destroyed what's in our vaults. Those weapons still exist out in the game universe. At the beginning of the Destiny 2 reveals, people were like "WWAAAH my weapons won't return WAAAAHH" and now people are angry that they're returning? Smh.
