4v4 is a massive downgrade. Bump so others can see!
#RIP solo players2017 :(. Destiny 2 is supposed to be a new game created as a sequel to destiny 1. Something better... Than destiny one. However why do we only have 4v4s and like 2 different medals! This completely ruins the montage scene. Let's get those 6v6s back and running so that people can have fun. Sure. Competitive is 4s. Fine. Good. But don't ruin the game before it's even out.

Edit: you could have 10v10 and it wouldn't lag any more than a 3v3. Look it up, it's common sense. Also, with 4s only, every game mode will be trials 2.0 full sweat. I want a more casual playlist where there aren't 150% try hards.

I'm going to play it, but my favorite mode is 6v6. I loved Iron Banner and disliked ToO because, as we all know, the fewer the players the more competitive (sweaty) it gets. In D1 we have the option to avoid the more competitive modes and opt for 6v6. I liked having that option. I could be wrong, but 4v4 seems like it'll breed a lot more contempt for casual players who enjoy pvp. That is, if 4v4 does prove to be far more competitive compared to 6v6. Personally, I'd hate to piss off my 3 match-made team members if it turns out that I'm the weak link in a 4v4 sweat fest. Sorry in advance! 😜lol

X v X number of players has never been an issue. It's the stupid match making (or lack of) and retarded weapons and class balancing that ruined pvp in D1. My prediction for D2. - in about a year's time a paid DLC will reintroduce 6v6. - all abilities and game modes for pvp will be back with additonal paid DLC - DLC and updates will nerf whatever meta surfaces over the years to come. D2 pvp will converge to some version of gameplay favoured by new streamers and vocal minority over the years and we will all be promised a new fix in D3 when we will all be having this same conversation all over again. Simple as that.

Look, I haven't played it yet so I can't say one way or another. [b]What I can say[/b], based on facts at hand, is that I came to love the 6v6 format, and I hope D2 has some kind of BTB representation. Other than that, I'll have to play 4v4 for a few dozen hours before I'm satisfied I really appreciate what it is or isn't.

I think 4v4 solves a lot of problems people hated so much about d1 PvP. Like spawn locations, not playing the objective as a team, and service.

I don't believe Destiny is a BTB game nor should be. I'm not saying 6v6 is BTB but I feel it was a few too many players. I like that the teams are being whittled down. It will make having quitters on the team a lot less punishing. Other benefits include. Better team cohesion, less chaos/randomness, and more skill related matches verses number based zerg rushes. Just a few things I feel would be good for the Crucible. Also, with the changes to the motion tracker distance, more opportunities for stealth tactics. Like flanks and ambushes.

2 RepliesWell for me, my only major complaint is how some players abused some specific weapons at various points in the metas. I don't mind it some meta guns, it is part of the game. But I'll never like the idea of guns that regenerate ammunition (looking at you ice breaker)

4 RepliesPlayed Halo 2, 3, 4, and Reach solo in the 4v4 playlists and never had an issue then even against full teams, don't think anyone that is at least somewhat competent at the game will have an issue now. If anything I see it as an upgrade for solo players because now there is less of a chance of us running into 2+ people constantly and getting instantly outmatched unless we have a super ready. Also, I find it hilarious you edited everything else and included insults, but forgot to change that there are medals in the game as several people have pointed out previously.

The thing that confuses me with this Bungo move is that lag aside, the main problem with 6v6's is the ability and super spam you can get is often infuriating! Now that they appear to be dumbing down abilities and supers in D2 I think 6v6 will actually work better than it does now yet they are getting rid of it for 4v4! I'm sure they will bring it back in the future either as a timed event or part of a DLC with some bigger specific maps added! Least I hope so!

(especially as most of the time I play solo anyway) In saying that I do agree with a lot of other people on here that 6v6 is just total chaos most of the time. The only (partial) solution I can think of is that there should be a freelance option for matchmaking in some game modes at least.
