All you're going to get here is people giving you a completely one sided and dishonest version of events in an attempt to make themselves look innocent. In reality, it is incredibly easy to avoid being banned. You just have to not be a dick. But with this thread, you are essentially saying, 'Hey everyone tell me things to reinforce my existing opinion.' And that doesn't really make much sense, either.

Never been banned. Warned once for calling someone a scrub and that's it. Don't attack the person and you're fine. It's very easy to critique an idea without being an asshole to the person. A skill many here can't master

This is one small microcosm of the wider assault on truly free speech that is occurring in the world today. It's been going on for decades, but it's really reaching a climatic point currently. You see it everywhere; news media pushing tolerance of heinous acts by certain religious groups else you'll be labeled as whatever-phobic, workplaces full of people scared to joke around with their coworkers because they may be fired for sexual harassment or creating a harassing environment, all the way down to being banned from your favorite place to talk video games, all for just being who you are and expressing the thoughts inside your head. That's what it's really all about; slowly conditioning you, nudging you, in the "right" direction, by reprimanding you and using any leverage available to control the words coming out of your mouth, and therefore, the thoughts contained inside you. The objective is very simple; condition people to accept the measly sum provided to them in all aspects of life, without a whimper of complaint, for fear of extortionist reprisal. The mafia has been at this for decades. "Hi, I'm selling house fire insurance. You pay me $100 a week and I won't burn your -blam!-ing house down!" Except here, they are doing it with your words, not your property. The ultimate goal is to get people to stop interacting with each other, sharing ideas, and collaborating to solve problems. They want us to be too afraid to talk to each other, to make any sort of progress, on any sort of problem we face. The answer is also simple; reject any notion that another person has any control over the things that come out of your mouth. The words you speak are a direct reflection of the thoughts you contain, and it's pretty easy to get anyone to agree that they should be able to think what they want and express those thoughts in spoken language, as long as the actions they take don't violate any of the three basic tenants necessary to a civilized society: You can't take another's life or physically harm their body, You can't subject them to any sort of involuntary contract, and You can't damage or deprive them of any of their personal property. That's it folks; respect Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, and everything else is fair game. Say what you want, do whatever makes you happy, and interact with other human however you care to, but remember, nobody want to deal with assholes or liars. So go out, to the Destiny forums, and say what's on your mind. Don't say it nicely either, just say it. If they ban you, oh well. That's one less person talking about their stupid game, generating less conversation about it, and ultimately less sales around it. They need the community to generate buzz about their product, and if things are too restrictive around here, we will find another place to go. In the Last 4 years I have been banned here on Bungie.net over 20 times at least. I was banned once for sharing codes for the game with other forum users (Obviously people don't want everybody getting everything here) I was also banned at Christmas for wishing a friend here merry Christmas (I suppose an early form of Islamophobia) Their are many other stupid reasons I have been banned for, but the list is long, its mainly these two that still sting to this day. They aint Ninjas, Ninjas have an honour code, these are keyboard warriors, there is a difference

Mods in #Destiny are super upright... literally get banned for anything over there unless you're praising bungie. Majority of them only look at #Destiny because that's where all the sheep are. Responded to a post about someone complaining about their life with. "Looks like you're a pro at making bad decisions." Banned for 7 days.

I replied to a thread titled "Unpopular Facts" with "Bill Clinton is a rapist" and was met with ninja justice last week. Okie doke.

I made a post questioning bungies censorship on the forums as only racist words pointed at certain races were banned. I did a test with about 4-5 races to find results. I got a month ban for that, I felt it was unfair.

i have no problems with the ninja's, you try doing their job and reading all these posts.
