So, I was bored and decided to download Warframe (free2play game) and I was impressed by the number of planets and missions it has.
There are 14 planets with 12-24 missions in each one. Player count is 150-200k daily players.
My question is how does a free game have 250+ missions and Destiny have 77 including raids and strikes.
Don't tell me microtransactions because destiny sure have them. If the 200k players of warframe spent 60$ on average then destiny's 600k daily players spent at least 60$ on the game, not counting people who bought every dlc and microtransactions.

I give warframe credit but damn . That game is so -blam!-ing confusion to step into now . It's just so much kinda crazy .

Warframe's devs are probably some of the nicest and well-tempered devs I've ever seen as well. They put in a lot of fan-suggestions, are extremely community-friendly, and host weekly livestreams playing with others and talking about development of the game.

The missions are nothing special. Like, at all. Sure, you get to fight a lot more enemies and you don't have to deal with as many annoying bullet sponges, but that's where the division of fun and boring begins. I've played both, I've liked both, but I'll play Destiny more often because it is less repetitive and grindy than Warframe. The planets look way better in Destiny, but Warframe has it beat as far as weapon details, cosmetics, armor/Warframes and playing styles. To be honest, the visuals and/or cosmetics is what Warframe does best. Not the gameplay.

1 ReplyI tried it once and deleted it. Just wasnt my cup of tea Waaay too fast paced for my liking, is one thing.
-
1 ReplyBecause I've played these missions, and believe me when I say this, all felt the same after the first 25. Quality over quantity
-
Warframe is an interesting game with interesting potential, but it's also extremely grindy and repetitive. The biggest difference from it and something like Destiny or the Division is that Wareframe launched in March 2013 while the Destiny launched September 2014 and the Division March 2016. When all of the content reuses the same tile sets over and over, it isn't hard to amass quantity in content.

Player count is 150-200k daily players.
Doesnt sound like a lot of people are really into the game...

2 RepliesEdited by Goldship: 6/10/2017 8:54:43 PMWarframe is definitely a weird experience. Game play is pretty good and there are some pretty strange weapons like the weaponized bop-it (Halikar) or the scythe that shoots acid (caustysst or something, I've never been good at spelling those types of words) even though it is kinda grindy it's fun for a game were you just want to shoot stuff

1 ReplyAnyone got a nikana prime blade willing to trade prime junk for it!
-
Warframe came out before Destiny so in its early stages it was very limited compared to how it is now. And since they've constantly updated the game its obviously going to have way more content.
-
Warframe is super repetitive.
-
Played warframe for awhile but got bored then tried to come back after an update that changed the maps and ingame economy and thought it sucked so i moved on and will never try it again. I do miss my frost
-
I mean. Yes. The route I took I spent a total of $110 on Destiny. But I find the quality of everything in Destiny better. It's more fun. More rewarding. I always try to play Warframe. And it's an exact example of a game that sounds like the greatest thing in the world on paper. But when you sit down and play it, I'm bored beyond belief.

Quantity vs quality Ear frame missions don't change from planet to planet, only the locales they take place in and sometimes if a radiant boss appears. But that's really it. Felt I should clarify since this is an unintentionally misleading topic.
-
The missions are all extremely similar. Even destiny has more diverse missions. Not counting the quests, the warframe missions are pretty basic
-
6 RepliesDestiny has microtransactions for cosmetics. Warframe has microtransactions for everything. I'm not here to argue which is better because I know what I think and I don't care, but I saw you using a false point.
-
1 ReplySure it may have more missions but all of Warframe's missions are based off the same few tilesets so after a while all the missions are really the same. And the grind; oh lord the grind
-
Most of those missions are copy and pasted.
-
8 RepliesToo bad the gameplay is garbo in warframe
-
While I will always appreciate my time as a Tenno, I gotta say...Warframe proves that quantity isn't necessarily better than quality. For every enjoyable missions, there are 6 just like it that are boring AF. And the grind in this game makes Year 1 destiny feel like a joke.
-
Yeah, I thought the same a few years ago when I first got bored of destiny. Then a few missions in I realised it was copy/paste and actually pretty boring itself.
-
Really? because it pretty much seems like the same 4 hallways copy pasted in different random variations attached to the same 3 rooms
-
To be fair, all of warframe's missions are copy pasted
-
11 Replies250 missions in 4 environments that are just copy and pasted hallways. Such diverse content, am I right?
-
3 RepliesWell destiny was a beta so....
