If someone kills your Oracle, be a man and kill the next one you see
All I hear during the Atheon fight is "stop killing my oracle" and "I got third" or "let me kill the next one". Just go into the portal, kill any Oracle you see. Its not that hard.
Edit 1: Anita Sarkeesian will probably throw a fit that I am calling people to man up. So be a woman too if that fits your gender...

If people called out what Oracle they were shooting at or had killed, it would NEVER be a problem. How hard is it to say "Shooting #3" or "Killed #4" etc. etc. ? The first time I did challenge with an LFG group, it took us 3 tries and we didn't even have Oracle weapons yet. We all called out who was shooting at or killed which one and it was done. Since then apparently I have been gaming with mutes on LFG, cause they can babble about everything else outside the portal, but go silent inside it.

As long as the relic runner gets last oricle and first guardian in shoots first oricle and is first out then it should go okay . I had fun doing this challenge took 20 mins to do twice from atheon CP. Then took an hour to not do it at all with randoms .

Smoothest runs lately are teleported non-relic shoot first 2, one or both go keep portal open, everyone else just kill whatever. Strong solar fusion on oracles, preatorian foil if you got it, sleeper on Atheon, and a vault primary for adds or Oracle backup if out of special.

2 RepliesI always try to be the first one to shoot the oracle if i'm teleported. That way i can be the first one out to hold the portal. Thats usually where teams have the most trouble and i cant rely on randoms. I just want to get it done

That is a bad strategy and is exactly why people mess that challenge up. It is not OK. If you have a specific Oracle to get to, get it. Don't be the idiot to get somebody else's Oracle.

11 RepliesI have to ask, wouldn't this actually be the easiest way? I mean rather than have 1 person shooting their own oracles wouldn't it be easiers & faster for everyone to shoot it, and whomevers name appears at the bottom left corner would just head out the portal? I mean I could be wrong, but I'm just thinking of the fastest & most efficient way to get out of there would be for everyone to open fire and whoever nails the killing blow leaves & doesn't fire anymore.

C: SHOOT YOUR ORACLE AND NOT SOMEONE ELSES. THE ORDER IS EASY. 1 and 2 are for the non relic holding teleportees. If you are the first in the portal (#3) your oracle is to your right. 4th is to the left on venus and spawns obstructing 3 on the right in mars. If everyone is on the wrong gate side and detained relic holder can kill 3rd oracle to keep the run alive. I use relic super to shoot it since its high up. Hopefully that gives 3,4, and 6 enought time to open the gate. Mars Gate=Left both have 4 letters Venus Gate=Right both have 5 letters Let relic holder get 5th. Slam it. Clense 6th and get out while 6th is shooting thier oracle. Done. Ps Atheons Epilogue and Praetorian Foil FTW here. Fatebringer/Praedyths blows for this part.

Me and my raid team kill whatever oracle we see. I didn't know this was a bad strat. Guess after raiding together for over a year we just work together well

This shouldn't even be a thread because if this happens then your fireteam is full of idiots. It only takes on person to kill an oracle so each person should call out an oracle and kill it INDIVIDUALLY. It's really not that hard

8 RepliesI agree with this...mostly. If you are in a group of experienced players this strategy works great. However I was once in a less experienced group that I started firing on the first oracle, and I didn't leave until 3 oracles later, this should have caused a wipe. If you find yourself in a similar situation, assigning numbers might be your better option.

2 RepliesIt really is as simple as shoot oracles until you see you killed one in the dialogue and stop shooting, but "someone shot my oracle" has become the default excuse when people get called out by the Oracle count post wipe.
