Biggest rookie moment?
Mine was I couldn't figure out how I kept getting ammo in my opinion invective with out picking up ammo crates

3 RepliesWas firing last word by pulling the trigger for each shot for over 2 years then accidently held the trigger down and realised it fires in full auto. Pretty dumb moment from a beta player lol

Edited by Smallershrub: 4/22/2017 8:24:58 PMThis was my most recent rookie moment I was doing VOG with my friends the other day on about 5 hours of sleep and 4 different times they kept closing that they needed blank on whatever side and everytime I would go to the wrong side "I need somebody to hold left gate open" I would be standing on the right gate.

2 RepliesDoing WotM the other night. Second Aksis rotation. Guy #1: "Empowered left" Guy #2: "Empowered mid" *silence* Guy #1: "Who's on right?" Me: "He's already on right, we don't need anyone there" *Aksis teleports* Guy #1: "Yea, but the supercharge mechanic is still there" *no supercharge notification* Me: "Oh yea..." *Team wipes* Guy #1: "So who else was empowered?" Me: "... Me" I felt so stupid. I don't know how many times I've done this challenge, and it wasn't even our first attempt of the night. I just suddenly forgot we were doing the challenge. Total rookie mistake.

1 ReplyAll my stupid moments come from switching classes. Most common problems: Jumping over a gap "why won't my guardian triple jump? Oh yeah it's my warlock." Spawn into crucible "time to bring the hammer....or I guess I'll just fist of havoc nobody." I could go on and on but you get the point.

During akisis phase 2 throwing the siva charges, I hit the ceiling in the walkway where the servertors spawn. I called last bomb too, needless to say we wiped.

When I first got this game back in the HoW days, I went in completely blind, didnt see anything about it, didnt know anything about it (yeah I know, one of the most hyped games and I didnt know anything about it) anyways, I completed the first mission and heard a line about needing better ships to explore other planets, so I assumed it would be some classic Rpg fashion deal where I got a better ship and other planets would open up to me, 8000 glimmer and a ton of cosmodrome patrols later I found out I just needed to keep doing story missions

Drifting while throwing Nova Bombs and blowing up on walls/doors. Still happens lol.

Getting gjarados to drop from a nightfall, and sharding it. The next week, (back in vanilla destiny; think it was week 3 of the games release) xur sells gjarados again, and im like "nah i dont need that"

4 RepliesCharging into Control Point B in Shores of Time while the whole enemy team was there and thinking I'd slam them to kingdom come... only to pop a bubble on top of them and give them a free shield while I got a beat down and also got bagged. I shut the console off, went to Mickey D's, got some food, came back home and put some Netflix on. Yup enough gaming for that day...

First time I did golgoroth, I was the last one alive and the screen got all black I kept on shooting golgy with my terrible kf sniper, after 10 secs of panic I killed him

Mine was Day 1 killing the same enemies over and over again in The Steppes during "Restoration" trying to clear the area before moving on like a normal shooter game.
