If you didnt play in year 1 stop calling it mapador...
No respectable year 1 player would refer to the matador as mapador. Before ttk shotguns had twice the range and 3 times the consistency, so shut the hell up already. Shotsguns are a depressed shell of their former selves. The majority of you "guardians" on here cry about any gun that kills you, that you dont enjoy using. Bungie is mostly to blame for the imbalance in the game, but you cry babies fuel it. Yall are gonna cry very soon at the next meta and the cycle will continue.
Edit: i should have mentioned that after shotguns got nerfed for the 4th or 5th time everyone said they were "in a great place". All the while sniper nerfs were more prevalent. Bungie than nerfed snipers (didnt touch shotguns at all) and all of a sudden shotguns are now OP. LMFAO the logic of this community is hysterical
Edit#2 i would say 90% of you have logical responses in regards to my post. Whether it be agreeing with me or against my opinion. The problem with the people who disagree yet have logical and intelligent responses to this, have no facts to back them up. A lot of you have mentioned that the ttk for primaries having dropped has in directly made shotguns op so they need a nerf for balance. I would agree with this if it were actually true. Fact is most of the primaries were nerfed a few months after ttk release, yet shotgun usage did not increase and than snipers were the meta for around a year. Right before roi we got our last weapon rebalance which actually buffed a few exotics reduced ar mags and nerfed snipers. Up untill that update went live snipers ruled destiny. We were than introduced to the clever dragon which has an optimal ttk of. 80 seconds which is one of the easier and faster ttk weapons weve had in a while (so technically primaries got a buff) . So back to my original statement only when snipers got nerfed did shotguns become over used, because snipers could no longer get shot multiple times in the face and pull off a crisp headshot, so they switched. Sooooo yeah unless you can bring facts, stop spewing ignorance. Like i said the majority of you have help bring imbalance to this game, cheers!

Youre missing quite alot in your argumentation here. Shotguns have been nerfed, although most other things have been nerfed harder. Especially primaries. Pair this with bungies cqc mapdesign and the mobility potential that all classes have and you should realize that shotguns are a problem (esp matador) right now. The solution would not neccessarily mean to nerf shotguns but they should buff primaries by quite some bit. That way it will be harder to just run at the opponents and shotgun melee like most people do (paired with amplitude/jugg shield). Shotguns are also a factor why this game becomes so slow paced in trials. If you dont run a shotgun yourself its almost impossible to push someone because right now your opponent has a mapador waiting for you (99% of the time) Imo i dont get it why people enjoy playing with a shotgun in a shooter that has terrible p2p connection plus a tickrate of 10. But thats just me i guess..

25 RepliesHey OP, Remember when we didn't care for Stats and KD, When the term "Use a primary" never existed because we were comfortable with what we used. When people actually fought aggressively. I miss year 1 pvp, Autos were amazing. (Then new players cried) Thorn and Last Word were the best (New players cried) Then taken king brought Snipers into the play, a whole year dedicated to Snipers. Now those snipers cry about shotguns, What a joke. Anyone under 4500 Grimoire cannot say a thing. (Because i didn't collect a few ghosts?) Exactly why, You don't have the time to enjoy the little aspects of the game like finding ghosts and completing a few tasks. Then you don't deserve a strong saying into things like this. I bought the game because i like Destiny, and i am a fan of Bungie. Not because I'm tired of other players killing me in Call of duty, or people out racing me in Forza Horizon. New players need to go, You are far behind.

In year 1 you could actually use primary weapons. Sniping people from across the map with Hawkmoon right after some douchebag on a stream said, "Hawkmoon doesn't 1-shot people."
