Clever Dragon (short) rant.
So before rise of iron, a lot of people were complaining and saying "use a primary for once!" So bungie gives us the clever dragon and now people are getting crap for using a primary? Make up your minds. It doesn't matter how good it is, the point is that you wanted us to use primary more....well, you got your wish and now you're unhappy. Smh

I quite like the burning eye because of explosive rounds. The visual impairment helps it a lot.

3 RepliesHCR on fast firing weapons was a poor idea in the first place, but aside from that gripe I only feel like the high rate of fire Pulse Rifles have too much range. A Clever Dragon has similar damage fall-off distance to No Time To Explain..While having a smaller range stat. That's not OK.

It's only too strong because of hi cal, grasp is fine it's already been nerfed. The only change that would make sense is to the range since it makes scouts pretty much useless. I would not like to see more nerfs however unless it's hical which is pretty broken imo. Even if both players have it the flinch is RNG seemingly and I am not a fan of RNG gunfights (ahem Hand Cannon accuracy.)

1 ReplyI'm not on either side of the argument bc I barely play anymore, but I'm pretty sure they said use a primary, not everyone who plays crucible use the same primary. It really dulls out the game. If you find it fun and entertaining still cool all I'm saying is that's most likely why ppl are still complaining.

8 RepliesI use ARs and do decent enough. Gold tier elo aint amazing but it's damn good for me. And I use T2 ARs, the 8 Impact variety. I use my primary more often then not. Actually in the last couple weeks I've been seeing more primary play then I'm used to. I still get killed by a special 3/5 times but thats better then almost 90% of tge time I was seeing just before ROI. It's not just clever dragon either. I've seen a few high impact AR and PR. Scout rifles other then Mida or distant star. Not as many snipers but shotguns are still a little heavy. Definitely more fusion rifles though.

The crap people are giving about CD is because it is one of the very few viable primaries. Other primaries need a buff to make them as useful, as it stands if you're not using a HRoF pulse rifle then you are likely getting melted unless it's a large map and you're using a scout rifle.

1 ReplyWell one: shut up Two: it's the most used weapon along side matador 64. At first it was a unique sound and now it's the most -blam!-ing annoying God damn sound because it's the only noise in the crucible.

2 RepliesThere are a ton of extremely good primaries. The suros dis 47 for example is amazing and it's crucible counter part can be even better with a good roll. People complain just to complain. If it kills them it's instantly op and needs a nerf.

1 ReplyWell thanks to whiners like you Bungie is going to end up nerfing the gun in the most awful way imaginable. Remember the Year 1 Hopscotch Pilgrim guys? It was originally in the high damage, low rate of fire tier and due to the gun's ridiculous stability it was almost always a two burst kill if you landed most of your headshots. People complained and now it's a weapon that has a Nirwen's Mercy archetype. I wouldn't be surprised if the Clever Dragon gets the same treatment, alongside stability reduction.
