So, on the subject of Hunter Speed...
Hunters, are described as the fastest class in game, but we don't have anything that can compare with titan skating and dune marchers. I'm not saying titan skating and dune marchers need to be REMOVED, but I think hunters could use a speed boost.
So people are arguing there's a difference between agility and speed. Well, that doesn't make much of a difference in terms of titans being able to speed through everything while a hunter lags behind, titans shouldn't be this much faster than hunters.

The description you receive when starting a character for Hunter is "You're a master of the frontier. Stalk and kill your enemies with ruthless precision". That doesn't exactly scream "Fast" to me. On the DTG website, they're described as being 'Agile', but that's a very loose way of saying anything is 'fast'.

Hunters are the fastest running, plus very few people can successfully titan skate

No :D Hunters have the fastest movement speeds in game through inheritance , while Titans have to use an exotic to boost their movements, or they can Titan skate. Don't get me wrong, Titan skate is pretty amazing, but thats just to make up for their lack of speed. Anyhow... [spoiler]BUFF CATAPULT ![/spoiler]

1 ReplyHunters are the cats of Destiny. Agile, nimble, quick to react and move. Titans are the dogs. Not as fast in reaching top speed, and once there not as easy to stop or change direction (ever seen a dog chasing a squirrel on the ground?) Quite a bit more clumsy and plodding. Warlocks are the sugargliders. Everyone wants one until they get one. (lol j/k) Seriously though, when my Titan can make it through any of the jumping puzzles as EASILY as my hunter then I will agree to a nerf.

And hunters are the fastest class just not in a straight line, you can pull off some epic maneuvers and easily confuse enemy attacks with your choppy mid air movement and shadestep on the ground. By the way this is coming from a hunter since day 1 and actually deleted my titan to make a second hunter. Honestly nothing needs to be changed about movement

Warlocks can move faster than hunters by default.

1 ReplyTitans are the fastest class. Titans have the most armor. Titans can have max recovery(minus maybe 1 point or so) Not to mention: Titans jump the highest. Exotics: Two grenades on ANY SUBCLASS. Fastest evade in the game. Did i mention an unstoppable super, with a perk literally called unstoppable. With all this in mind all I ask is for hunters to be the fastest class. No I'm not interested in a debate over the difference in "agility" and "speed".

51 RepliesYou don't understand the difference between agility and speed. Speed is how fast you can move between two points. Titans can do tnat the fastest. This is not by sprinting. This is by using a jetpack and using Shoulder Charge. Agility is how fast you can change direction. Hunters are the fastest at this. In Destiny this also translates to higher sprint speed and higher jump height. You need to learn this.

Well think if it this way. Titans are like trains, they move fast but only one direction and tune slowly. Hunters can move almost as fast, but they have an edge in tight areas, horizontal spaces, and aim faster

Hunters are much more maneuverable, great for mid air gunfights and gaining height really fast. Titans are just straight line speed lmao. I don't see why people complain about this.
