Is an asshole. Should have allowed double/triple jump and the like to work in town if you wanted to build a platforming section with retarded collision detection that bounces you, backwards and with magically increased velocity, over the edge every time you bump something.

My only problem was that it was two short, I wish they'd have had it go to the peak of the mountain. Or if they had doubled the size.

1 ReplyFirst time someone whines about a parkour. Channel your inner-goat and Git gud

If I can do it, you can do it. I suck at jumping puzzles. Just don't get stressed out about it and take it slow. You get checkpoints once you've go past a certain height.

If theirs a will theirs a way

4 RepliesYou must climb the mountain inside of you before you can climb the mountain outside

If you touch the mountain while jumping you get sent all the way to Mars.

1. Not that hard 2. You don't need to do it

Scenery Snag. It's the game's most deadly enemy.

Sorry, it's been renamed to Mt. GODDAMNIT!

It was fun. I liked it. Mostly because i was doing it with friends and they couldnt stop raging because of it.

1 ReplyThe bounce-off-the-rock mechanic is the main reason I refuse to do jumping puzzles regardless of the reward. When I jump, I don't get magically shoved back by some invisible force, I go up then straight down. Game mechanics that make little sense cause me to get frustrated and I don't play video games to get frustrated. So, you keep it...

It wasn't worth the effort just for a siva chunk so i gave up.

Edited by ElonSkywalker: 10/28/2016 6:12:59 AMManaged to do it with all three toons. Yes I died a lot and wanted to throw my controller through the TV more than once. But that was the fun of it.

Just keep trying. You'll get there eventually

1 ReplyMy 12 year old can get up there in one try, just thought I'd share that.

It's not that hard

While I wouldn't be that drastic, I certainly agree that this jumping puzzle is inadequate. Bungie games are known for their ridiculous collision detection, knocking you back at high speed if you hit something. It has to do with the Havok engine and was there in Halo 2 (super bounces), Halo 3 (flying corpses) and even Oblivion (super bounces again, thanks to the Havok engine's collsion detection knocking you at high velocity). So, instead of fixing that issue, they designed a puzzle around it which is only difficult because of said un-intuitive bumping effect. I don't think jumping puzzles belong in shooters, and especially not if they are based around flaws in the engine. It took me twenty minutes to go up the first time blind, but I can absolutely understand people struggling with it. It's not fun being reset because the game follows its own rules. It should have been a test of your spacing skills, not tricking the engine.

I loved it

I wish they had jump puzzles like that I'm every aspect of the game. Maybe then we would have a community of oil who can jump.
-
I have problems too but I'm jump impaired.

1 ReplyIt's a social space. We're lucky we even got the damn puzzle to begin with. Just run a max agility MIDA build if it's that bad. Shouldn't take longer than 3-5 minutes.

Heres a tip bruh ICONIC BLINK STORMCALLER Just blink once you get near it and its easy as pie

Is it possible to jump up there during the first mission to take back the peak?

Best advice I can give you, take your time... Go slow... If you start getting nervous/ Jumpy... Stop!!!! Put down the controller, walk away, gain your composure and come back. Always get as close to the edge when jumping acrossed with object potentially bumping you off of your path. And finally, the best advice I can give is dont respawn yourself, let the computer respawn you. It will (in most cases, not all) spawn you near where you were. I fell near the top at the final big jump and it actually respawned me as if I made it. All i had to do was climb the final few rocks. Pace yourself bud... You'll get there...

It took courage to admit you suck at a simple jumping puzzle.
