T.O.M is useless now
The Kings fall raid is so much more harder now that the Tom is useless why was it nuffed like that

12 RepliesNot really. Used TOM to kill myself in the maze to spawn at Golgoroth's door. Still works. Used TOM to kill Daughters. Still works. Used TOM to flinch Oryx. Still works. Only difference is that middle titans need to put 4-5 sniper shots or a couple of Sleeper shots into Ogres? If you relied on TOM for most of your encounters then 1. You were too deppendant on a single weapon to begin with. 2. You need to learn to adjust. How did you raid before having the weapon to begin with???

Everyone can still use it but the 2 titans in the middle. Have the guardians in the middle use Sleeper...it's one shot from each with WoL buff

Me and the teams I run with still use it! It's still really good for daughters but I will say if you're holding a platform for Oryx it's probably not best to use... But if you're in middle killing ogres or if you're running but don't have an exotic sword on its still good for staggering oryx, I was watching my BF help a team earlier and they couldn't do it with only one person having T.O.M

I mean the team and I only use it for Oryx and its not that hard since we use weapons of light, yes we lose some health but we have the guys on the plates help us out too. Makes it much easier. In daughters I mean you have an aura, same as oryx.

I've hardly ever use Tom in the raid. Why? Because it's unnecessary. The only time you really use it is on sisters. And if you're not in the middle killing ogres then you won't use it. And if you are killing ogres just use a machine gun or sniper. It gets the job done just as fast

5 RepliesBungie killed there raid exotic ((it's not like it was there first time either)). Vault it and get two armor pieces with sniper ammo and use Black Spindly. It can carry 19 with two ammo buff and 17 with one ammo buff. Oger? Use spindle Shade of Oryx? Use spindle Oryx? Use spindle War Priest? Use spindle Golgroth? Use spindle Sisters? Use spindle or ToM Get a team that knows the raid or get a Sherpa who is willing to teach ppl.

1 ReplyThe touch of malice has always been a useless weapon once you got your light high enough. Ran the raid lastnight, only 1 person out of 6 was using it still. Even before I got to Mac light, I quit using it and still completed the raid just fine without it.

ToM is perfectly fine as it wasn't nerfed. I strategy was.

4 RepliesThe excuse was crucible. But only 5 titans in all of destiny were exploiting this. My guess is that they beta tested the new raid and BoL with ToM made things too easy

It didn't make it harder. My raid team, the only person using TOM was the person keeping DPS on orxy. That gun was overrated.

Use it at the Daughters/Sisters and then switch to a sniper and the Sleeper Simulant. Whoever is the runner switches to it on the fourth round to continuously fire at Oryx's chest.

Is it really? Or are you simply unwilling to change up your strategy in raids? You do know people can beat the King's fall without it right?

You can always use this strategy. Also it still works wonders in the auras.

1 ReplyTouch was used in two fights. And even then, wasn't totally necessary for oryx, it just made that easier because you could put weak links in the fireteam on ogre duty. Just have everyone help shoot ogres, instead of Titan bubbles use a quiver tether on the last three ogres, etc. etc. I can think of at least a dozen different ways right now to compensate for the touch-bubble combo. Use your noggin to think instead of complain.

Try using a sniper then switch to TOM when inside the aura. Instead of relaying on a Titan to carry you make everyone shoot at the ogres and Knights.

2 RepliesHahaha The ToM was just an easy way to do oryx waaaaaaay back in the first few weeks. After that when u are higher light lvl you can do as much damage with several snipers, heavy and even primaries. Now everybody asked for a sniper nerf and they got it. Now those people who asked for a nerf are unable to oneshot those knights and kill some ogres and i just lmfao

4 RepliesStop whining. We had 11.5 months of using the TOM and so they nerfed it so we wouldn't use the same 2 bubble strat in the next raid. Stop using crutch guns, think outside the box and get better.

Tis why you "Should" be running Touch and Sniper. Swap back and forth and your good to go. Shoot with Touch until your low and then switch to sniper. Its exactly what I've always done. Sometimes I run Weapons and sometimes I run Blessing depending on who/if helps me mid.
