175 exotic engrams currently in my vault
99 armor....76 weapon. All three of my characters will be close to max light on first day...lol. How many have YOU saved?

Edit #2: I have been around since day one and know all about the past history of exotic engrams. If they work they work - if they don't they don't. I have every frigging exotic and had no reason to decode them. I never expected them to decode into the new exotics - if they do great. My best hope was that they would assist in raising my light level from the start. Worst case I am gonna rank up the cryptarch a shitload for packages.
Edit #3: LOL. A lot of posts in this thread. To keep the negative posts down I will address some things I've seen. I have a job and a wife (and a child) and together we make well over $200K per year. These engrams were accumulated over many months as I have all the exotics. Why not save them and hope for the best. I'm not going to decrypt any of the engrams (ok - maybe one of each) until I have ran the story mission/strikes/etc as blues and greens will be higher than our current light level. I havent complained yet about lack of content. I will just start saving for the next expansion as I did this one. :)

3 RepliesI hope for your sake, that after all that grinding, they actually do decrypt as yr3's. They didn't for TTK and Bungies early release of new exotic sidearm notwithstanding.... At least you'll have a heap of shards for infusing :)

1 ReplyWell there is prepared and there is overprepared I have like 70 exotics, close to and a ton of things for dismantling for marks or shards, every material I have plentiful, edged all factions etc almost, prepared to wage war on the fallen and splicers. MY body and characters are ready, also besides my year 1 armor and guns I am keeping I have not a single piece of gear that is below 335...

1 ReplyCurrently have 50+ saved. I'm never one for complaining that their is lack of content in destiny. In my view there is always something to do. Even if it's just grinding strikes for a specific piece of armor or weapon.

I thought about doing the same, I've got about 10, the reason I didn't is because I don't want to have nothing to do 3 days after release. I'm hoping they just decrypt into 335 drops to be honest.

Lol, and then when you hit max level ( if engrams even encrypt at RoI levels as they didnt in ttk xD) you will complain that the game is stale and theres a lack of content.

I've saved a few but if they all turn into old stuff at low level then I'll just have some shards. If I get one weapon I haven't had before then I'll be happy.
