I stopped playing after Far Harbor was released, and never actually even played that content. I went to play it today, and it will not work. The launcher opens, and thinks it is launching the game. It sits on a black screen endlessly until I end it with task manager.
My basic specs
W7 professional, sp1
GTX950 GPU, latest drivers
(everything else is fine)
I was running mods, which I disabled all of them. Not even the main fallout4.esm will launch standalone. I tried a fresh reinstall of the game and all DLCs. I tried setting the graphics to low quality. Nothing will get it to run. I am convinced that it is Bethesda's buggy doing, as I have done everything a consumer can do to get their game to work.
Does anyone have any ideas? This is incredibly frustrating.

1 ReplyWhen you are doing a fresh install make sure you delete the Fallout 4 folder before the install

Edited by Gomly1980: 9/7/2016 10:19:07 AMIf you are running Fallout 4 Script Extender you will either need to find a launcher for 1.7.12 or wait for F4SE to be updated. They are still on 1.7.12 with it while the launcher has been updated to 1.7.15 meaning F4SE won't run with the updated exe. It also means that any mods that need F4SE to run will have issues, not load and/or cause CTD if the game does manage to load. The big problem with blaming Bethesda is a hell of a lot of us are having no problems at all. Even with 190 mods running I have no issues.

Edited by Vizard: 9/7/2016 6:10:49 AMTop KAK! You should give Nuka World a look. The thing needs a mayor patch ASAP. There are many that can't even start the dlc and those like me that can't continue the main quest.
