Hi there, so pretty much, every time I play Crucible I literally just rage the entire time, it builds up- the longer I play the worse it gets. It is really starting to get way out of hand... I go as far as coming onto the forums and arguing on here just to let my anger out, even sometimes getting banned for the rude stuff I say, and that's not cool. I'm not a stat whore so I don't get pissed about "ruining my stats", I don't even know why I get pissed, it just happens, even when I'm trying to have fun. (It also doesn't help that everyone on here will make fun of you if you don't have good stats)
I just want to be able to chill and have fun in the Crucible without having to use the broken meta weapons. This probably looks stupid but to me it's pretty serious, my friends have even started calling me out on it, that's pretty embarrassing for me... I would much appreciate any advice on how to relax more and just not care when something dumb happens.
Thanks
English

If you get pressured or start raging, what I find that helps is to get up and take a snack break or take a 5 minute drink break. It helps. Or, if you want to chill, use stupid weapons in rumble and just have fun with it. Try new load outs, if they don't work, use a different one.

Used to be the same way. a few broken controllers later and some volatile arguments on the forums that i realized were stupid opened up my eyes a bit. When playing, if you start raging, take a deep breath, and try something different. If it builds up between games, take a "break" from trying and run a goofy set up that i would call " A dicking around" set up. Run around a match with NLB and a sidearm to kind of clear your mind from playing normally. If that doesn't help, quit the game, place your controller down, and walk away for a few minutes. Do something else. On the forums, i have found that one of the best ways to stop yourself from getting engaged in stupid arguments or volatile comments is to just write out what ever you were going to respond with, and then just exit the page. Don't ever push post on those particular comments. Lets you vent whatever you wanted to vent, but you can also move on without having to come back.

What I do is sometimes I handicap myself. I go in with bad weapons and weird gear to remind myself that it is just a game

Most of what's posted is good situational advice. My advice to you however is to remove yourself mentally from the game. Don't care if you win, Enjoy getting outplayed and learning from your mistakes. If you are on ps4 you can play with me. I have zero tolerance for rage so it might rub off on you, if you let it.

It couldn't and never will be played professionally. Games like halo w true balance have MLG circuits. This is the most unbalanced arcade casual fps I've ever played.

I usually deploy witticisms, but that may not help. If anything, call the offender a rude name under your breath and keep playing. Anything more extreme would probably work you up--contrary to popular belief, when you express something emotionally heavy, you ramp up the feeling like a lawnmower or Cobra Commander's particle cannon in Resolute. :)

its all in your head bro. if you die, you die. gotta make a habbit of reminding yourself that its just a game. main reason why i just run with nlb/boleen gemeni as my primary now. lol.

Try to stay with a teammate at all times & shoot at whatever they shoot at. Other than that, remember that it's just a game, & stop playing when you get tilted.

3 RepliesIf you're being killed by the same gun repeatedly, change your approach. If you keep getting cross mapped with a sniper, don't press that lane. If that juggernaut universal remote keeps downing you, learn to watch your radar and back pedal. Most of the players I see that begin to rage fall into simple mistakes like charging in. Situational awareness will save your sanity. Keep an eye on your radar, know where your weapon strengths are, and adapt to enemy gameplay.

I've been the same way more recently when it has come to the Crucible. So I've taken a step back from it and have been doing PvE more until RoI comes out. And when I jump in to the Crucible, it's only in short bursts.
-
2 RepliesWhat exactly makes you rage? Losing games? Always being killed by the same gun? Getting teabagged? Your own poor performance?
-
2 RepliesI legit said its nearly word for word to my friend last night! We have to play together sometime. #Tamponmasterrace

You're the only reason you're not having fun.

I feel ya. I have decided to not play crucible again until RoI comes out. It's been awful lately. I'm hoping a larger player base will get rid of a lot of the b.s. that seems to be the norm lately. The game has just not felt right and all I do is rage as well.

3 RepliesYou mean a lack of weapons parity and inconsistent connections in a PvP game bothers you? That's just weird...

My girl friend has said that I seem to have male PMS because I get really cranky once a month for a week because of Iron Banner.

1 ReplyThe path to true Crucible enlightenment and thus having the maximum amount of fun in every game starts with a single, simple step. Do not care about what happens. It really is that easy. Kill someone, good times, laugh it up. Die , it's all good, laugh it off. Make a montage worthy play, clip that shit and laugh it up. Die in a montage worthy way, also clip that shit and laugh at the fail. It really isn't worth getting stressed over, even if you sweat every game and end up with a godly KD and even godlier win rate, in a few years time, you'll only be able to look back and say "I wasted my life". At least if you're having fun, it's not a total waste.

6 RepliesYou ever think it may be a problem that is not game related? You could have things going on in life that frustrate you.

1 ReplyCrab a pillow and beat the shit out of it. If that doesnt work, move to real people... Nah just kidding... Dont do that.

I just dont play too much PvP any more tbh. I'm decent enough, but I dunno, I guess I just prefer co-operation now. I havent done nearly as much co-op PvE in my time gaming as I have done PvP.

Take a Xanax, bro.

Theres literally nothing you can do besides learning to control your anger.

1 ReplyI was in the same boat. I will admit I still get worked up over certain situations: Using Fist of Havoc midstep while sprinting apparently procs Death from Above. Wasted a super in the Cathedral thanks to that spot of shenanigans. Now, however, I make a note to be more mellow about things and acknowledge when I was simply outplayed. It helps quite a bit.
