I know this may be a weird subject, but I almost never come across women in destiny. So far I've only met two moms of kids I play with. Why do you think there are so few?
Edit: woah, so many people conversating on so many issues that need to be talked about, makes me feel happy that I made this. Thanks for the feedback!
Edit 2: holy cow, we're almost at 400 comments, this is the biggest thread I've ever made! Thanks for the feedback once again!

Because women tend to be smarter than men. They sure know to stay away from this mess of a game. This is coming from a 36yr old man.
-
16 RepliesLook, the people you are after are the people you depend on: we cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances, we guard you while you sleep. Do not -blam!- with us.
-
8 RepliesCause of all the thirsty f*ckboys around here. Don't know how to treat women with respect.
-
I have 20 friends that play on 360. All are confirmed women.
-
If I'm playing with a girl/woman I won't treat them differently from guys that I play with. Except I hold back a few sexist jokes.
-
Did you just assume my gender???? TRIGGERED
-
Ehm idk, if I'm playing with a girl/women I'm not treating them differently. I never have.

6 RepliesThe irony is, if guys could stop being harassing little pigletts that shoot friend requests to every even remotely female-shaped thing in line-of-sight, stop condescending them and underestimating them while simultaneously complimenting them on how cute they sound, and learn to treat them like any other player, (that is to say, either call them a scrub if their kd is lower or a sweat if their kd is higher while telling them to get a life) then maybe there would be a big enough pool of women that one of them might approach the guys for once. That's the thing about tearing down rigid societal traditions, it benefits everyone.

7 RepliesBecause nothing is more cringe worthy than getting hit on during a raid.
-
I think there is actually a good amount they just keep their status to offline to avoid the flood of guys going crazy over them

4 RepliesThey're all busy making sandwiches!!
jk...no hate, I play with a few women on destiny...peace!!
-
2 RepliesExample: Scroll down through this threads comments. See if you can pick out the comments by female gamers. They have, by far, the most replies. Wouldn't you avoid us like the plague if everywhere you went, "Oh. Hi, you're female, wanna come play with me? *wink wink, nudge nudge* Nothing suggestive."

10 RepliesI always come across other females, not just on Destiny either. I even have some on my friends list. I, myself, used to be that shy girl that would rarely talk in parties and such...or when I did talk people could barely hear me because, according to what people have told me numerous times, my voice is too 'soft'. However, I've met so many great people during my few years of online gaming, and some of them I still talk to almost daily. ❤ I'm definitely not as shy as I used to be. Well, actually, maybe just a little bit... I think most girls are at least a little shy. And oh, I'm used to the perverts and prepubescent teens, they can just be a tad bit annoying. I even find them funny sometimes, considering how desperate some of them can be.

6 RepliesWho's going to make the sandwiches?

I really wanted to bring a friend with me when I first started playing Destiny, but unfortunately, she's got major eye issues and wouldn't be able to see half of what she does.
-
Cuz they play candy crush

22 RepliesEdited by Le Shrimp: 8/5/2016 1:12:15 PMBecause we grow up in a society where we don't promote females playing video games. I find that a lot of other females do not like talking over the mic at first due to being shy because 95% of the time, the other person or people in the party are guys and a good handful of them don't know how to accept women playing video games. I'm usually judged as soon as I speak in a party due to my gender. It's why I don't do random LFGs anymore. However, I've met a lot of guys (and a few females) on here that have been accepting and enjoy playing with me. :) Also props to those friends you have. Being a mom and playing Destiny. That's some hard work.
But seriously though. Don't blatantly hit on us while playing.
3 RepliesWho gives a shit. I'm married with children. Last thing I need is a 2nd nag chirping in my ear while I play.
-
Edited by Silent: 8/6/2016 7:03:54 AMI enjoy playing with girls because they tend to be more mature and tend to play much better than their male counterparts. I don't get why other guys hit on them though...

I was trying to do kings fall hard one time. We needed 1 more person so our fireteam went to inviting people, but we accidentally ended up with 2 people. One of them was a woman and she seemed super nice and helpful. She ended up giving up the spot so the other person could finish the raid with us. I think that's the only time I've come across a girl on lfg.
-
Because women aren't as dumb as us.
-
As long as you can play decent and aren't a complete -blam!- head I really don't care who or what you are
-
there are more than you think. many just don't talk to avoid many of the issues people have listed below. i raid regularly with a lady every Tuesday night. we get to hear the stories of all the pick up lines she gets on a regular basis. most are just hilarious. but she is married and her husband plays also. so i would say many woman on here, either keep to themselves, or stick with clans or groups they are comfortable with.

Because It's a video game. That's like a 90/10 ratio there.
