• DS3 is the easiest one in my opinion. Four Kings on NG+7 is my nightmare.

  • That's the idea. The audience they're attempting to appeal to enjoys the challenge.

  • Easier than 1

  • It isn't that bad. Just use your brain and you'll be fine. Don't actually use your brain as a weapon though, not a good idea.
I'm really bored while waiting to invade someone.
• Its only hard because you start out with almost nothing useful. As you progress and get more useful items to whatever build you're using, the game becomes much easier. Wait until you get to NG+ and start mopping the floor with everything you see. If you're having trouble fighting something, summon somebody. Its fun and you can progress much faster.

  • It's difficult but it's not as bad as people like to pretend. It's just trial and error. Once you got the enemies routine down you shouldn't have a issue

  • Biggest difficulty is learning to be patient. Observe and learn, then plan and attack. Read everything, talk to npcs multiple times, explore, and think. There is usually always a way to make things easier, for example, you enter a new area and pick up a new item you've never seen before. Chances are that items helps with the area or enemies in some way, or it might do something completely weird on the other side of the world.

    • The game is paced differently. Enemies are faster and more demanding of quick reaction and effective dodging. I think it makes the game more engaging.

    • It just takes some understanding and observation is all. Dark souls is not an inheritly difficult game. It is however a game that punishes you for your mistakes. Nothing is difficult just for the sake of being difficult, rather, everything is designed so that you can counter it by understanding it and learning from your mistakes. Dark souls rewards observant players, players who pay close attention to their surroundings, study their enemies and remember small details. Early on it's just timed blocking, dodging and attacking, but the formula gets mixed up in each area as you are provided new situations to get accusomed to, as you must do so in your own. That's not so say the game won't help you out. You just have to be ready to pay attention when the game is teaching you. For instance, the game will introduce new enemies to you, 1 at a timer each time, the enemy will be a good distance away, allowing you time to study it and understand it's moveset. That way when the game throws multiple ones at you later, you already should know how to handle them. The game is also rarely unfair in what it does. If a situation seems unfair, look for a way around it. There might be a side path, a shortcut, an evironmental effect that you can use to your advantage 99% of the time there is something to help you that an observant eye will catch. Though there are still times where the game is just unfair (looking at you, bed of chaos DS1). That's about it for now. Aside from the obligatory git Gud.

      • Hard at the beginning, but once you pour souls into the stats you want and have the correct weapons it's a breeze. Currently on NG + 10 and the bosses I only struggle with is twin princes and pontiff. Other than that I use a hidden body spell to run through the game and keep doing NG+ to get five free levels every time from the guy who gives you a dark sigil. • Ds3 is easier than any of the soulsborn games proceeding it, especially ds1 and Bloodborne. Even easier if you took advantage of the infinite souls glitch b4 it was patched. Currently on souls lv 354, lol.

          • There are a few enemies that will try my patience (I'm looking at you two silver knights guarding Aldrich and hoard of pyromancers) but once you really start to figure out how to handle what you're up against you can easily handle them. Just finished off Aldrich myself and trying to take out the dancer though that thing is annoying to fight. (If anyone has tips much appreciated)

              • Choose a pyromancer. You'll 5 shot Aldrich with chaos bed vestiges. And the dancer worth 12 shots. Pyromancy is all around easy class to use and get used to...just not in pvp...
