Who here has read the entire book of sorrows?

I read it but that doesn't mean I remember the entire thing. It is a good read. Very interesting and provides a context for oryx and his motivations.

I did. It's the only part of the lore that is written like a story. It has some interesting description of what evolution and fear is. It also tells you the complete story of a destiny villain, so you can understand why oryx and the hive are doing what they do. Most other grimoire cards outside of the books of sorrow use hieroglyphs, it's such a pain to "read" them.

4 RepliesMe and my clan all read it for fun. It gives you a whole new view on destiny, and explains the hive well. I kinda feel bad for Crota tho, he had to go into the Vex rupture in the dreadnought. Oryx, isn't that child abuse?

I found it written down in script format online somewhere when The Taken King first released. Reading through it without having to click on each individual card and possibly reading them out of order as you find the fragments, is so much better. I feel like the Hive are a much more terrifying enemy if you read through the whole book.

It's the best Lore in all of Destiny, IMO. Love it so much I wish I had a paperback copy.
