How do you continue liking this game?
After them just basically saying "we're done" and only work on microtransaction stuff to get the sheeple to spend money on emotes.....emotes people. I know, ridiculous.
After those 2 "dlcs" which were really crappy and had little content to offer us, I'm surprised people out there still support this kind of behavior from a gaming company. I feel bad for the parents that waste money on this game because their child wants to do the thriller dance a couple dozen times to show off even though no body cares because they know that spending silver on this game is one of the stupidest things you could do. You could easily blend that money up and drink it and get more value out of it than buying an emote.
It's sad that people are so brainwashed into thinking that what I've said is somehow incorrect. The proof of what I'm saying is Destiny...Destiny is my proof.
Edit: Not 1 single person yet has come up with a good excuse to continue liking a game that does so little for it's community. It's like watching a bunch of mindless dogs bark at a wall.
Edit 2: Man you guys are really boring me, I can't find anyone who has a good reason as to why they're still playing this game. This shows that you guys actually agree with me.
Edit3: Over 24 hours later and still no legit reasonable excuse for still playing this game. I'm actually really disappointed.
Edit4: Important edit! Someone found an actual legit reason to still like this game. Here is the quote: "[i]It's literally an addiction for some people. The loot hunt is equivalent to gambling[/i].". Only took 30 some plus hours for someone intelligent to come along.

Intuitive gunplay and mechanics mixed with different classes with different abilities. The game is almost 2 years old so for players that have been playing for 6 months or longer then lots of what the game offers can seem stale. However, the selection of guns and equipment is pretty extensive, we are just used to it. Also, none of us are obligated to provide a reason to you about why we continue to play this game. Especially if you consider the explanation provided to you as insufficient as if we have to meet your standards of approval. I understand that bungie is not perfect and that destiny is not perfect. I appreciate the arguments made about the ways this game can improve. However, it is better to approach things in a positive manner if you wish to start an ongoing discussion about what should be improved or changed. Thank you sir and good day.

I still like playing because I love the concept of raids. They may be repetitive but I find some enjoyment in experimenting of what I can do. PvP has also been one of my other favorites. I don't mind lag or the current meta. I play casual; messing with random loadouts. But every once in a while I'll go sweaty and try Trials or Iron Banner.

7 RepliesNo excuses needed son. As you get older, you just like what you like, and don't need to justify a damn thing about it to anyone. I'll just say that the game is quite enjoyable for me. I do a solid mix of crucible, strikes, and events. Yesterday alone, on a day off, I sunk a good 8 hours into her. Also did the dishes, my laundry, my wife's laundry, took out the trashes, changed the cats litter, and polished off the last of my Chivas Regal. It's not someone else's opinion on a game that matters to me, only my personal enjoyment.

I still play Destiny because when you get right down to it, its a good shooter. Great mechanics from how the guns handle and feel, blasting through enemies with supers, jumping 20 feet in the air and slamming a melee attack, variety of enemies, large scale boss battles, platforming, etc etc. It all feels impactful and fun to play. Thats ultimately what makes the game so good. Much like Halo, its a kickass shooter. While Bungie screwed up alot of the MMO aspects of the game, it still bring the FPS fun! I don't need to convience anyone. I KNOW why I still play.

1 ReplySince when did a title need 2 years of updates to be 'worth' playing?!? Some people enjoy the game for what it is, and don't act like spoiled, entitled brats, demanding around-the-clock maintenance and constant content updates. Destiny is an outstanding PvP title and that alone fosters infinite replayabilty. If you're bored, move on. There's plenty of other games.

I enjoy it because it something different and it has that halo feel. I've played the game more than any other. Despite all it's problems it feels good when I titan smash someone. And to be completely honest it make me want to try harder because I just got owned, this game make me a better player.

I like the universe and the lore and playing with friends. Idk it's fun. It's a sad day and age when we have to justify the things we enjoy. You, my friend, sound incredibly stupid and childish. That's probably not entirely your fault, so don't feel too bad about it. Have a good day though. I could have printed out your post, blended it up and drank it, and still not felt as dumb as I did when I read through it.

I like the game because it's still fun to me and its a time when I get up with friends from all over and save the world, even if it is for the 900th time. Lol. I didn't buy this game thinking it gave me a voice that Bungie was obligated to hear. I bought a product and nothing more. I know there are details and issues of this game that over time has made some up and leave but I'm not one of them. I made the choice to buy the game, and i still choose to play it. Once I get to that brick wall and decide to leave, I hope I'm mature and grown enough to not come here with a pitcher of salt. If this game is causing you so much emotional stress or disdain then I would fully support your leaving. Your priorities are out of wack and there's probably no fixing you. "Can't fix stupid." There are far bigger more serious issues in REAL life that you should be getting salty about... Truly raising your voice to be heard. Some people in our own country don't even have clean drinking water and the issue went back to 2012. We can fund a war but not our own people? Don't come here with some stupid ass salt issues. If you're done, just go.

How could i get tired of nova bombing people or smashing the whole team when they are capturing zone B??? How could i get tired of hearing lord shax say "if i had ten of you i would end war" or "you can fight by my side any time" or when he gets mad and says "fight back!" Or "double down triple down fantastic!"

Because I know when to stop my self and have other things to do. If you keep consuming the game and playing it out of ur -blam!-ing mind course ur gonna get tired of it eventually. Same like u dont just go ahead and eat a shit ton cuz u have nothing to do and get fat. And its not even that most people dont ejoy it. Its that the those who are displeased for their "consumption" reasons make the most noise which really only is their own problem.

Whats keeping me playing, is the potential and the vision that joseph statin and the original bungie team had when making this game. Sure the RNG is rigged and horrible, sure bungie cant balance anything to save they're lives. But i still enjoy the game because im good at it. But i do not support bungie at all, in fact, i despise them for ruining this game. I already hate activision, but now i hate bungie with an even worse passion. Its clear they dont give a -blam!-. But its the potential, the lore, and the vision of joseph statin that keeps me playing. And its this very reason is why many still play. Its not because they blindly support a now greedy and selfish company, its because they can see where destiny was meant to go before the executives of bungie got greedy and are hoping that vision comes to light.

I'm just here for trials and maybe a raid with some friends but other than that I'm mainly here because I love pvp and trials is more fun that call of dooty lol
