Okay, and by that logic I can argue that the Sunbreakers' revolved solely around Forgemaster, Cauterize and Flameseeker. All those perks nerfed into the ground. Why hasn't it been done to Sunsingers?

  • Coming from a Sunsinger? Quite a biased opinion. Those heavily involved in the PVP community, (streamers, tournament players) all agree Sunsingers are currently above the other classes. It's not a bad thing entirely, but I expected Bungie to treat the classes the same. Oh, also. How was Sunbreaker OP? They had an awful neutral game, so in Trials they were only good for about 50 seconds in the entire 9 rounds. (If they got their super twice). Firebolts charge every 25 seconds, or with Voidfang, charge instantly on death. Which can take all 3 guardians out of the fight for 14 seconds and bring them down to one shot. That's not even their super.

  • It's coming from a Storm Caller, actually. I think people are just complaining about them because they're so many. Honestly I think they're fine now. I'll admit SS was pretty ridiculous year 1 but they've been hit hard with nerfs. Personally I think the class is trash now compared to the others. I think people have heard SS is op and so many run it, then people get annoyed. That's just my opinion though. ^_^

  • It's been strong for quite some time. Firebolt grenades were hit with the Nerf, not the perks. The initial damage and range were hit (and quite rightly so) but it's still way too strong. Why is it that Sunsingers are allowed to have their class untouched because it revolves around a specific thing (Burn) is untouched but Sunbreakers whose class revolves around one thing (super) is completely destroyed? It makes 0 sense. To be fair, I play all classes. I'm not afraid to jump on a Sunsinger and reap the benefits of the imbalance but honestly the game will be better for it once it's gone. (If it goes).

  • Sun Breakers were gods in their supers. You could unload a full Invective into them at launch and they could potentially survive it. Just because it got balanced, doesn't mean it was destroyed. Sunsinger now, even with Radiant Skin (damage resistance in super) has less damage resistance than a Bladedancer. Honestly I think that subclass is fine. I've used it, and have no complaints. I'm not sure I can agree with you entirely. I get the point you're making perfectly, but I just can't seem to agree.

  • Gods in their supers, awful in their neutral game. It balances out. Sunsingers gods during neutral play, not so great with their supers. Balances out. Glad you see the point, I get you.

  • Fun fact: all Sunsingers actually got a max armor stat decrease with the April update. Not sure if you knew that.

  • Really? That kinda makes sense. Warlocks shouldn't be able to out-tank a Titan.

  • The perk that offers overshields on hit actually raised armor stat a little bit. That was the only reason I would use it. April update removed that little armor buff. But one of the other two melee options now offers a little recovery stat boost to compensate and push players to use something other than overshield. I'm learning this isn't widely known.

  • I'm pretty sure both also charge faster than Flame Shield. I do know this, but it isn't really relevant to the main issue of Firebolts. They gave a Nerf to FS cutting the shield health down to 25% instead of 50%.

  • Dayyyyys later but just so you know.. the statistics dont back up sunsingers overshadowing anything or being op. They actually have one of the lowest averge KD per subclass out of all but voidwalkwr and defender. Bladedancer is higher, golden gun is higher and nighstalker beats every KD. Sunbreakers and stormcallers actually share the same KD and are only .03 higher than gg.
