Is anyone playing Destiny because of Halo?
Some people have never played Halo. They jumped on the Bungie bandwagon when Destiny came out. Are you playing because you played the old school Halos and never left? Some people wouldn't even know, but these message boards use to be for Halo not Destiny. Destiny has similar gun play and map design just like Halo. So has anyone actually been around since the Halo days and never left?

I did hear a lot about Bungie and how amazing Halo was gameplay and story wise. I got excited for Destiny because of those reasons. Before Destiny, I was 100% into the Battlefield series as my main games.

I was always a halo guy. Until my buddy bought me a copy of the original black ops. I was hooked for a while even on black ops two as well. Destiny came out and it was the best of both games. Ever since I haven't touched any other games besides nhl and the division. I got into destiny because it's fun and the quest to acquire nice looking gear with good stats kept me going.

1 ReplyI bought Destiny because it reminds me of Halo. I stopped playing Halo when Bungie left. My favorites Halo, Halo 3, and Reach.

Ya, sadly 343's latest game was kinda underwhelming, and the current state of this game is disappointing. No way I'm getting back into cod. All I have to look forwards to is gears :/

Nope, I thought destiny was going to be like defiance (what a waste of $60) so I completely ignored it until the beta came out. The amount of enjoyment I got out of the beta is the only reason I preordered destiny

Originally I bought destiny because I watched a buddy play and it looked like halo. Not being able to play halo cause I have a ps4, destiny looked like the next best thing at the time.

Only reason I got Destiny was because It was by Bungie and I loved Halo. So i trusted them.

Halo CE through 3 had me hooked on FPS platforms... especially the intense H2 multiplayer days. Idk if it was spite for the franchise when Bungie sold it off but I never could enjoy the later titles. Long story short Destiny is extension (only being optimistic) of the vision what Bungie had created 15 years ago. Yes i know, I might be holding onto a dead horse.

Didn't start my Xbox gaming till I got on to Halo 3. Big shoutout to all the bros out there who've known the challenge of soloing a campaign on Legendary!

I played halo 1,2 & 3. Got rid of Xbox 360 and got a PS4 and got Destiny a few months ago.
