Is anyone playing Destiny because of Halo?
Some people have never played Halo. They jumped on the Bungie bandwagon when Destiny came out. Are you playing because you played the old school Halos and never left? Some people wouldn't even know, but these message boards use to be for Halo not Destiny. Destiny has similar gun play and map design just like Halo. So has anyone actually been around since the Halo days and never left?

I've always been a playstation owner i've never had an xbox with that being said, the first halo game i ever played was halo 2 (my uncle still lived with my grandma at the time he was about 22 and he owned an Xbox and a Xbox360 but i digress) i really enjoyed halo's story mode and 4 play split-screen (hint hint bungie ) but i never really payed attention to the name of the developer, so skip to E3 when destiny was revealed and it said from the makers of Halo that's when i put the pieces together. To answer the question no although i liked halo it wouldn't have influenced me to buy destiny. I've been playing destiny since beta and i've seen alot of things change for this game, i plan on sticking with the destiny series till the very end. Well that's the end of my monologue, see you star side guardians

I've been here since Combat Evolved. Personally Reach was/is the final Halo game. Couldn't stand Halo 4 and really don't like Halo 5. But that's just me.

2 RepliesI've always love halo and I've always love destiny. One thing tho, what were the forums like back in halo 3 days? I was younger (about 11) when I played halo 3 on a day to day basis, but never really cared about forums lol. Were they more or less cancerous?

I have the Halo and Halo 2 soundtracks on my iTunes and the other day "Covenant Dance" came on shuffle and the nostalgia was strong. I miss Marty.

I played a bit of halo 3 when I first got my 360 but couldn't really get into it (guess I was too much of a Cod whore). Try reach a bit later, it was OK but still wasn't too into it. I bought the MCC years back and halo 5 and I wish I would've gotten into it back then because they were pretty good.

3 RepliesI never liked Halo, played the first one and got the next couple for free but didn't think they inspired the junk hugging Bungie hardcores. Saw the Destiny trailer thought it looked cool. Played the beta and liked it. Still liking the beta but I sure wish they'd hurry up and release the full game.

Since launch of the original xbox. Sadly, Destiny is nowhere near as good as H2/ H3, in my opinion. Too many auto tracking grenades, easy mode supers and oh, the aim assist! This game feels like a tutorial.

I played a ton of Halo 2. It's the only reason I bought an Xbox. I'd say map design is nothing like it was in that game, but it kind of can't be.

I started playing Destiny thinking it was going to be somewhat like Halo, well that was a bad idea. I like the game, just can't stand the lag. Reminds me of call of duty.
