Darksouls 2 SOTFS?
So I'm thinking of getting Darksouls 2 for me and my friends birthday ( we have them a day apart) and I'm wondering. Do people still play pvp and pve online? I wouldn't mind the occasional invasion and extra help with my friend and can we invade others together? Also is there anything I need to know about it spoiler free. I played bloodborne but never a souls title. The
Edit: I'm wanting to do sorta a magic attacker build. I want to be able to use most of the spells but still be able to hold my own and do decent damage with melee. Half magic half melee if you get what I'm saying, any advice?

And yes, it is and probably always will be very active regarding pvp and pve - especially with it being a steal at the moment and with everyone being so excited for the release of Dark Souls 3. After going through a long and thoroughly enjoyable Bloodborne addiction, I jumped right into SOTFS. It was actually my second time getting hooked on Dark Souls 2, but it was really cool - I loved what they enhanced, changed, added with SOTFS. It was incredible, and as I said, very active. The only things I can think to mention is that it isn't Bloodborne as I'm sure you know. All the souls series games are definitely souls series games but they're each a little different. I would, however, say that Dark Souls 2 feels more similar to Dark Souls 1 than it does to Bloodborne. Bloodborne is more if a faster playstyle, Lovecraft, gothic horror in which you're dealing with hunters, aliens, and mutated looking monstrosities. SOTFS is a slower, slightly clunkier playstyle in which you're seeing dark medieval fantasy giants, ogres, hollows, knights, dragons, etc. My advice would be the same for any souls game - practice with different builds and weapons and read up on stuff. My favorite and most successful and versatile build was a hex/physical hybrid using a claymore, seabow, staff, and shield. There are loads of great builds out there though. 2 RepliesStill pretty active. On PS4 at least. There's two areas in the game where you could theoretically invade people together but only in those areas...I think. You can also co-op pretty much the entire game as well. Me and one of my friends have done it and it's pretty fun doing it that way. The best experience is solo but having a buddy there is pretty fun too.

There will be people, but they will likely be the Old Guard. In other words, they will likely know every unfair PvP build and how to ruin your day.
