Matchmaking Settings: Skirmish
New matchmaking settings seen last week in Iron Banner are now live in Skirmish. Analysis continues before we apply them to more playlists.

Yo Deej, why can't you guys make VOG and Crota's End useful again? For me to find a group for VOG, I have to post and say I'm doing a VOG raid in like a hour and to message me if anyone is interested. And guess what? Nobody messages me cuz they're probably thinking, VOG? For what? I just like playing the old content as well as the new. I came up with an idea maybe you can tell your buddies about. What if there was a kiosk in the tower which had all the legendary weapons and armor and all the exotic weapons and armor in it. Then, what if there was a point system where you needed a certain amount of points to obtain them? For example, legendary armor/weapons would cost 50 points and exotics would cost 80 points. For each checkpoint you clear in a normal raid, you get 1 point and hard mode would be two points. So in VOG, you will get points for Oracles, Templar, Gatekeeper and Atheon (since those are the ones that used to drop loot after completion) Each crucible win will also give you a point and each heroic strike will give you a point and so on. As far as light level goes on armor and weapons (which I think is the worst thing bungie did to destiny), you can bring a weapon or armor from 310 to 311 by using 5 points or something like that. Obviously I haven't thought this all the way through and there are many flaws with what I've presented at the moment but this is all coming from the point of view of a guy who rarely dies in raids, yet watches the guy who kept dying get a 320 helmet from Oryx when I get a 310 primary or something like that. The reward system sucks man. I see it happen over and over in the crucible also. The guy on the bottom gets the best loot. Same thing happened in racing. Last place had best rewards.

Hmm the connections have improved for me which is nice but now every -blam!- game is sweaty not a single break from playing causally.

I remember when this game was fun in Y1 and now it just dropped off the face of the planet due to "Subtracted" content and lack of new "Orginal" content; what the hell happened man? Bring back that fire already, because this isn't going to get me amped for D2 and I DO play you fanboy minions, just not as much anymore~

Why is there no attention given to the PvE element of destiny? I am a PvP'er and I still notice that the PvE side is consistently looked over!? I for one don't particularly care for the match making. It was fine before, why fix it?

All of my matches are sweaty and not fun. You should get rid of SBMM entirely...but you won't since you guys think you know what we want more than we do. You're all morons.

13 RepliesI've never seen a company blatantly disregard the constant complaints of the community as much as Bungie does. At the start they listened and made adjustment, now, they just try to force crappy skill based matchmaking down our throats as if we want it. This game is unplayable.

In all honesty i dont experience the lag everyone else complains about. Every now and again, but not bad enough to cry about it. Maybe because I play solo idk.

1 ReplyEvery match is sweaty and still laggy. I love 2-5 second delays between the time I kill them and them walking around shooting then randomly dying.

2/3 games were quite sweaty. 2 teams started camping when they started losing. Connection was better. Maybe you guys should introduce a competitive play list separate from public play list. Comp 3 and comp 6 then of course trials. I don't mind sweaty game play but I like playing pvp casually also.

1 ReplyI want to believe *but im not Stop dividing players into groups that already paid for destiny and are not willing to pay anymore because of your actions from the players that are new to destiny and are willing to be milked by you still. I know what you're trying to do. Stop it and bring back year 1 matchmaking (when nobody cares that im beeing -blam!- with shotgun all the time). Suddenly people starting to leave destiny so you had to take actions to keep the money flow. I think new people should be hired @ Bungie.

Wow, you guys are awesome, good iron banner rift, best mode ever. You allow us to use our best guns , awesome company.. If you can ,please buff tlw, thousands yard stare and terminus,thanks..those guns are head and shoulders above anything now, but I want them even further. Thanks for sbmm, I absolutely love the red bar players, it's so fun playing against invincible people, helps me "git gud" so when patch 2.2 comes in November I will be ready. Also you guys are so slick, when did you allow taken thrall in the crucible? It was so much fun trying to kill that guardian as he teleport around, awesome.. Keep up the good work guys, the games finally reaching it's potential.
