I honestly wouldn't have a problem with SBMM if it didn't also seem to screw up connection quality so bad.
I'm constantly getting matched with lobbies full of yellow and red bars from Brazil, Russia, UK, Australia and other places on the other side of the globe. This never happened until the SBMM was added and IMO is a direct reason for the increased amounts of lag I am seeing in the crucible.

This exactly. I have no problem getting wrecked in Crucible, but only when I am actually out played (my stats show this happens often). What I have a problem with is hitting people with shotguns at point blank and doing no damage, killing people with grenades (or other weapons but i mostly see it with grenades) and not getting the kill credit when no one else is around, and other various issues related to the lag. I used to be able to just shrug off the one guy in Crucible with a shitty connection, but the past couple of nights it seems to be everyone in the match. And no, it's not me; I can play any other online multiplayer game on my Xbox just fine. It's only Destiny.
