What's everyone's favorite primary since 2.1?
I just finished the Oryx challenge on my third character. All primary drops. No helmets :-( I now have an extra 320 primary to infuse with and Iron Banner is coming up!
My Hung Jury worked pretty well last go around, but I'm thinking of trying First Curse or Hawksaw/PDX-45 if pulse rifles are still good.
What say you???

5 RepliesI don't think there is a "best" primary anymore. This update, for me anyway, has made me really think about what I was going to drop in with

Best primary? 1K Yard Stare.

TLW/Grasp of Malok/NLB

The Revelator. Same RoF as TLW but better range and stability with the right perks.

The massive range of weapons in everyone's posts says it all - nothing is super weak now, and nothing is out-and-out the best either. I switch up now depending on the map/game between my Nirwen's, MIDA, occasionally the Zhalo, my Treads Upon Stars (has stability perk, crowd control and 3rd eye so fantastic for crucible), or an an Eyasluna I had drop with a range perk and hidden hand so it can hit headshots miles away (further than hawkmoon itself!). In the current meta, I think the 'best' weapon will be a lucky drop. I'd love a fast-firing full auto scout with 3rd eye (basically, Inward Lamp but I don't play Trials much), a good roll on a Red Spectre or a pulse with 3rd eye and a range perk to counter the dropoff that came in with 2.1. As it is, it's MUCH harder than before to be consistent, as you have to be ready to swap your loadout mid-match to counter whatever the other team is using/complement what your team are if it isn't working out. Since 2.1 I can hit a 4 KD one match then be 0.5 the next. Your best plan is to try and have a few guns to give you options!

Bad Juju/Felwinter's Lie (still a good shotgun). Hawksaw/Pocket Infinity (seriously).
-
Mida, red death or ace of spades (if you play hunter)
-
I like bad juju. I sometimes use Thorn for a laugh.
-
Red Death, Mida Multi Tool, Bad juju for me.
-
Since patch I've been using bad juju and some suros scout with full auto. Bad juju - Havov Pigeon SUROS scout - Dregs Promise (or quenbreakers bow) Supposedly we were in for a scout and autorifle treat but so far it's just ARs and they're ok and offcourse the mida but I think ARs are well represented in the crucible right now
-
Bad Juju, as of late. But I still abuse post-patch TLW, too.
