MW2 was easily the best (aside from CoD4). The last good CoD was Black Ops 1, though. 2 just didn't do it for me.

Blackops 1 had the deepest story (I was truly frightened by Nova-6 and the whole numbers thing was triple A writing.) World at War had the most flavorful multiplayer and it introduced Zombies, nuff said.
