I spent about 8 hours yesterday grinding my way through the "Iron Banner" arena and was angered by the blatant cheating going on. Either that, or there are some seriously skilled players involved in this event. Huge skills gap. I was frequently thrown into an ongoing game only to be killed immediately; re-spawn, die, repeat. It seems like players were simply killing me the moment I appeared in the game. I think this is called "spawn-trapping". I should add that I had a good, green band internet connection all day, and my internet normally runs at 200Mbps anyway. In the occasion where I was fortunate enough to play a game from the start, a similar trend continued. Even when I had a player in my sights and was clearly hitting them, the red line above their gamertag never dipped. And, because these players were [u]invincible[/u], they fired back and I always died. I also noticed that groups of players (parties) would go into a game and simply destroy the other team with little effort. Looking at the results of one match, a player got 46 kills! In the same game, I got 0 kills and 12 deaths! I am not a skilled. or even good player, just average, but these other guys must either be highly skilled pros, or cheats. I am also being matched against skilled players in the US (I'm in the UK), which doesn't seem fair. Is the "Iron Banner" an event exclusively for professional gamers? It certainly seems there's a massive problem with the "matchmaking". Are any other players noticing similar suspicious issues in IB?
