Someone enlighten me on this reasoning please.
Edit: okay so the correct answer seems to be because capturing areas charges your supers so you can use them more often. Still, why is this even a thing for Bungie ?? they're the ones that made stupid strong supers even my dog can get kills with, now they're trying to nerf their usage ?.. If they want players to use more weapon combat.... well, make a game where players have to use weapons instead of "space magic".

i'm not sure i understand your question. are you asking how playing clash equates to less super usage, or are you asking why they would choose a game mode that has less supers? neutralizing and capping zones helps build your super substantially. obviously this won't be an issue in clash. other than that, the games are just way shorter, so less supers. as far as why i think ANY move to limit supers is a good idea, because they are the worst part of destiny's pvp, with the exception of shotguns

1 ReplySame super usage, less kills with it because folks are spread out.

Edited by Burgundy: 11/14/2015 4:38:31 AMComplain complain complain. Supers are a HUGE part of Destiny and they are awesome. Bungie is mixing it up by giving us Clash to see how we like it. Yes there will be less supers, but there still will be supers because THEY ARE APART OF DESTINY. They are doing it for the sake of variety. End rant, idiot.

Less kills per game -blam!-ing hell do people even play this game?
-
3 RepliesMaybe because they haven't nerfed hammers yet?
-
8 RepliesI'd rather have iron banner zone control or rift.
-
Control points add super energy for neutralizing and capturing So really, it was giving people that were playing the objective super energy. Whether they were bad or not was not a factor
-
19 RepliesFor people that never play the objective...you get extra super recharge for neutralizing and capturing zones. I can understand how many people wouldn't know this.
-
Also less super kills. Control means that when you have your super up you can just look at the flags and if ones getting capped, you go there and get 3 kills easy
-
4 RepliesMayhem Clash would've been better. Every week that we have Mayhem Clash in rotation is where I spent all of my crucible hours at. Win or lose its very fun.
-
6 RepliesZone captures give super bonus thus less supers.
-
It's simple the games don't last near as long so less supers
-
You get super energy from capturing a zone.
-
In theory, Supers will see less use because people are more spread out, cutting the effectiveness of Fist, Nova, and Shadowshot since they're AoE supers, as well as Ward since you can't use it to capture zones. That means fewer orbs from those Supers, so teammates can't charge theirs as quickly. In theory. Additionally, Zone captures slightly charge Supers, a decent way to keep the meter going even if kills aren't readily available. What this really means is that other Supers will fill the gap. Hammer will still be OP, Golden Gun and Bladedancer will offer good returns for Hunter, and Warlocks will likely use Stormtrance and Radiance to good effect. As long as teams grab Orbs whenever they can, Light will still fly every which way.

1 ReplyYou gain additional super energy when capping points...that is no longer in the equation.
-
I Guess cause the matches are quicker

12 RepliesEdited by Adam: 11/13/2015 2:38:33 PMIron Banner Clash LMAO If you thought the Pulse Rifle & Sniper meta wasn't slow and boring enough already, just wait for when there is no objective except positive K/D's. I'm a day one player, but recently took a break from the game because of how stale it's gotten lately. I still occasionally check in to the forums to see if there's any reason to come back yet but it just seems like they either don't know what they're doing, or don't care when it comes to PvP...... Things like this make me wonder why I ever played in the first place. the PvP is a joke.

I don't know why IB wouldn't be objective based. Honestly pretty confused by this decision. The "level scaling" is already a joke, the objectives of control were the only thing that made it remotely team/strategy based. I have lots of respect for Bungie, and I really enjoyed destiny and I want to keep playing it, but they have to meet me half way and give me a reason to want to do this repetitive stuff.
-
Bout time they switch to -blam!-ing clash
-
5 RepliesI'd rather it be zone control, but I guess that's out of the box.
-
1 ReplyLet the campfest begin!!!!
-
4 Repliesmost play clash style in control anyways! They capture 1 zone at most hahahah - they just blink and shotty around map! Again Buingie caters to the kids - what's new! Make the game easier so kids can get things and now make it clash which is all they know how to play.
-
I have to imagine the only reasoning was that you'll see less multi kill aoe supers on control points? People will run away from supers now as they won't try to challenge them to maintain control of a zone? Only thing I can think of. All I know is my sunsinger is having a scrub BBQ next week, everyone's invited.
-
clash lol mercy everytime it will be lol
-
1 ReplyZone control would be a blast: i leveled up my warlock and titan within a week...
-
1 ReplyIt's worse in my opinion. Their is no rhythm to the supers, so I'm going to be forced into playing nightstalker holding my super not to create a 4 man solo kill, but to stop that one titan all game from getting 10 kills with one super.
