Instead of nerfing the health or the blast radius of the hammer, it would be a better option to make the Titans slower upon the HoS activation. By slower, making sprint disabled while during super, or just make the titan slower, not weaker.
Hammer would be more avoidable, but the hammer would still be deadly if no one was expecting it.
Titans would still be powerhouses, but wouldn't be able to get across the map fast.
Do you think this is a fair compromise?
This is an SUGGESTION
Here's a link to another discussion.
Edit: If you think I'm against titans, look at how long I played with mine.
Edit 2: If Bungie keeps hammer as it is, I wouldn't mind.
Edit 3: I respect everyone's opinions. This is what the forum are about!
Edit 4: How option a perk option that lets you have the shield, but you have less mobility?
Another option with no shield but a lot more mobility?

Keep the damage reduction, 4 hammers. No damage reduction, keep the hammers. that's how I look at it.

No this is a terrible idea. If titans become slow while using it they would literally not have any kills. How would they go unnoticed? They make a loud clang when activated. Soon as people hear that they would take off. Then being slow you can't chase and if a group started shooting you their lack of maneuverability would get you killed. The only thing that needs a nerf is the damage resistance so they can be one shot by GG and snipers.

No op is fgt or pancakes option? Disappoints...

5 RepliesSwitched to a Titan for the hammer but quickly decided not only is it no better than a golden gun but it comes with shit melee and grenades. Keep using it folks.
-
2 RepliesReduce the splash damage so a non-direct hit won't 1-hit-kill. That way, skilled titans won't notice anything, but people who spam hammers at the ground will need to toss more.

Only thing that needs to ne "tweaked" is the damage resistance. End of Story

I feel like if you are a mobile rocket launcher then your -blam!-ing rockets should hit you and do damage to you too. That is all.
raging Hunter
3 RepliesEdited by mus: 11/3/2015 3:22:20 AMYeah I don't know why warlocks can't sprint with storm trance even with lower health, closer range attack and no health regen on kill.

Where's the "op is fgt" option like many other polls have?

19 RepliesThey still have Titan skate so no. Titans have hungering blade, 8 hammers, fastest class in the game, tracking hammers, proximity on the hammers, huge hit box, lasts 28 seconds for the super to run out, have more defense than radiant skin warlock, hammers that reach across the map with no fall off damage, hammers that are basically a nova bomb. This isn't op?

13 RepliesEdited by Impurity41: 11/2/2015 6:18:52 AMHave cauterize give less health back. Reduce reduction by 5%. Also have it take at least 1 more hammer to kill bladedancers and radiance users. 1 shotting normals is fine. Problem solved. we won't be sitting ducks but we will be equal like every else. Edit: I changed it just a little bit after some more thought. The change I made is still extremely reasonable as a nerf. Remember I don't want a nerf, but if there is one, then hopefully it's this.

14 RepliesThat's dumb. How fast they move isn't a problem. The fact that they regenerate health with each kill is. There should be a cool down timer on health regen in pm PvP.
-
Where's the -blam!- no option? My Titan isn't going to be slower than EVERY other super because u think it's Op. GG is a OHK as well as nova bomb. Storm trance and night stalker destroy it. Get real!

Take off the health regen and I'll be fine with it

Edited by Semperfi1999: 11/2/2015 4:35:16 PMI actually think the only thing that need to be changed is a way to giving the players choice in how to use the super and making it a pros/cons based on that players choice. Option 1 (based on choices made in the class tree): Make it such that if the gamer wants to run around with the HOS and target enemies then he would be a slightly better Golden Gun (no specific limit like GG). The HOS will get no dmg resistance but will keep its other abilities while also being mobile. Option 2 (based on choices made in the class tree): Allow HOS users to choose abilities where the sunspot grant the user the current lvl of dmg resistance and the overshield while standing in the sun spot. However if you move out of the sunspot you lose your overshield and dmg resistance. So you have options....be a mobile killing machine but you get no dmg resistance (everything else remains the same such as the healing on kills etc).....or be a tank that can take massive punishment but the user has to be sure to be inside their sunspot in order to gain this dmg resistance. This second option obviously limits the mobility as if they want the dmg resistance they have to set up their sunspot by hitting the ground first so they could move from sunspot to sunspot but that still leave them vulnerable during that move.
-
No because that would -blam!- it in PvE. Just lower the damage resistance by that 5% so they can be headshot sniped.
-
They already ninja nerfed it

1 Replydont disable sprinting. just make the entire class 15% slower during super
-
I would be fine with this
-
My only problem w/ the Hammer Titan is just the splash damage. Either nerf the size the splash or the damage of the splash and I'm fine with it. I don't care about Titans that much, Hunter Master Race!!! Speaking of Titans here's a joke, "Why do Titan's eyes hurt?" "Because they can't Blink!"
-
1 ReplyOk but take a shot away from gg and reduce the bladedancer super by 25%.
-
1 ReplyTitans are the tank class, so their supers should have more health, and slower speed. Kys

I think it needs a splash damage nerf, so it actually needs to aim a little.
