How can you introduce Mayhem without Barebones
I don't -blam!-ing understand. You make a chaotic game mode so why not make a toned down one. No supers, heavy, special. So people with actual gun skill can have some fun.

I know others have said it, and been bashed for saying it, but if you don't want supers this really isn't the game for you. Supers are probably the main thing that sets Destiny apart from other FPS games. Its one of the main themes of the game. In fact, bare bones in Destiny would probably be NO weapons and just supers and melee abilities. Don't get me wrong, if they introduced it I wouldn't care and I'd be happy for those that want it, but what I'm saying is I don't ever see it happening because of the focus on supers in Destiny.

I used to be pro barebones but.. this game just doesn't feel suited to it. I've played Inferno. It's just boring to me. What makes Destiny the game that it is is all the supers and craziness. There isn't any REAL way to make it a fair fight so I don't see the appeal. Maybe I'll get my barebones fix in Halo. A game that it feels suited to. People with actual gun skill should still be able to out kill and super people in mayhem and in regular modes.

Because Mayhem is huge entertainment, and Barebones is... well, it sounds like it's not. I just had a flashback to crawling around the maps of Europe and Russia in MW2, trying not to get sniped by players with 60" TV screens who could see me twice as big as I saw them. Except, that's right- in Destiny I can't go prone.

Considering that every gun doesn't do the same amount of damage a bare bones would turn into a hunters only mode. Why hunters have the most gun play assistance than any other class. Gunslinger aim assist and stability assist. Bladedancers instant ready times and movement speeds. It would be the most boring mode in destiny. Unless they gave everyone the same armor, the same class, no abilities, the same gun, it could never be.

3 RepliesDestiny is not made for the cod player. It just isn't, the whole class thing focuses around space magic and that's exactly what they'll carry on focusing on. Not been a douche but if you want barebones you are playing the wrong game.

Op didn't ask for killstreaks or super fast TTK Secondly, why are you people so defensive about the Barebones playlist suggestion? NOBODY Forces you to play it, it'd just give people an option who enjoy gameplay more focused on primary weapons. Seriously, throw in some valid arguments instead of "Go play CoD" - besides, referring it as "Casual FPS" is hardly an insult when core Destiny PvP is just as low skillgap.

This is a decent point... never thought about a barebones, maybe cuz everything takes so long to recharge now in normal PvP that I thought I was already playing barebones

There already is a game mode with no supers, it's called CoD. Although the new ones do have them now
