Making this post just to remind idiots that titans are always screwed over by this game. Titan takes by far the most skill of any class in Destiny, it's honestly not even a question. Now I expect a bunch of people who main hunters and warlocks to give dumb accusations for reasons why I'm wrong; such as "Fist of Havoc" or "Shoulder Charge". The people who claim these are advantages as a titan don't actually play on a Titan.
I've mained a Titan since Day One and up until the release of house of wolves never made a second class. After about a week of using a hunter....with only gunslinger I realized how much easier playing hunter is. Once I got to bladedance....forget about it. I'm a sniper so I rarely ever blink shotgun, but when I do you can bet I get 15-20 more kills than deaths easy. I mean blink allows someone who can go from 20 feet with a shotgun to 3 feet away and shoot you mid air for a kill. Let me just explain how a titan can handle this situation. THEY CANT. And I will explain why shoulder charge doesn't work, this happens to me sometimes, I will shoulder charge to close the gap but this animation is long and puts your gun down so by the time the animation is over I'm dead. The only other option I have is to actually be tactical and outsmart the opposition.
Don't even get me started on things like the ram, RANGED MELEE's for the other classes, and supers that you can run around with for even more proof that titans are the hardest pvp class to master. Also if you have noticed all of the top tier pvp players in this game are warlocks and hunters for a reason. Do me a favor warlocks and hunters get off your high horse and admit to your advantages. I admit that titans have an awesome super in first of havoc as it is great to counter other supers....aka self res and bladedance. I will also admit that lightning grenades are extremely powerful but it does take TWO pulses to get a kill you can simply just get out of the way, we have a third of the op things you guys have. I'm sure all my fellow titans will agree, I mean I could go on longer about it but I'll stop now.
Edit: Also name one useful PvP exotic for a titan outside of Armamentarium.
Edit #2: i linked my account for some of you to "judge my stats". Also for those of you saying peregrines are a useful exotic dont play as a titan, YOU HAVE TO BE IN MID AIR, do you know how niche that is. One last thing the defender can be useful but can be supered very easily plus the grenades have some bugs to them which have been made evident by posts on these forums.

no class takes skill

2 RepliesI titan with a high kd ratio has earned it. Even more so if the titan plays as a defender.

5 RepliesEdited by Fools Meta: 8/29/2015 3:59:07 PMI agree with this post. I honestly think that the only thing they should change with Titans, is our melee Lunge Range. I know its kinda sad that I need the Lunge Assist to land my melee hits, but there has been TOO MANY TIMES where an enemy player was 2 feet in front of me and I threw my fist and nothing happened, which then gave him plenty of time to melee me, shotgun, grenade, etc. It is very frustrating. THATS WHY THEY CALLED IT STRIKER TITAN! Because he strikes out all the time. "SWING! - miss SWING! - miss SWING! - miss YOU'RE OUT!" Also, has anyone noticed an irritating glitch with Shoulder Charge, where when you activate Shoulder Charge while in the air about 3 to 5 feet above a Guardian's head, upon activation your Titan will just STOP mid air instead of Lunging like its suppose to. "Name one useful PvP exotic" I'll name two. (I main a Titan btw) Helm of Inmost Light I suppose the Helm of Inmost Light is more about preference than anything, but I think its a great exotic. I use it on my general Clash Build all the time. ACD/0 Feedback Fence This is also a situational exotic, but Shoulder Charge + Feedback Fence + play aggressive = almost 80% chance on postmortem.

True but I'm not complaining. I like my Titan the way he is. If I'm playing PvP with him I just use defender for some extra kills.

3 RepliesTitians and Hunters suck Love, All warlocks
No seriously though Bungie needs to give you guys some love
3 RepliesWhile I think shoulder charge shouldn't be a one hit kill, it takes skill to use that perk so I agree with you. To me, SUNSINGERS and both Titan subclasses take skill. Void walkers and blade dancers are the cheesiest and easiest to use in crucible. Takes very little skill.
-
PvP completely agree. PvE hunters are most difficult undoubtably. Titan was my first main (back when I played little PvP), although now I main a hunter (PvP)
-
3 RepliesI main a warlock and I can't agree more. When DB came out I started to drift toward the Titan. And I eventually came back to warlock in HoW. I never do hunter because I feel it's too good in PvP. People might say "you lie you have a ton of time played as a hunter" Well I have a shared account with my brother. All in all Titan take most skill

2 RepliesTitans have kind of been sharded on with exotic armor pieces. Hunter, and warlock get the best perks for armor gear. Hands down. 90% of Titans I see are still manning vanilla exotic armor. They do need to buff some Titan gear for pvp Hopefully it comes with hammer jammer subclass. Idk.

1 ReplyWell the trade off is Titans are probably the most useful in PVE so you get to suck in PVP. Hunters own the pvp arena.

1 Reply>straightlines 6 enemies >throws lightning grenade to get all 6 hurt >mechanics >"__" has generated 6 orbs of light "Skill"

21 RepliesPeople saying Peregrines are good are kids who spend the whole match spamming the jump button.

5 RepliesHunter takes more skill then anyone lol

Edited by CorinthianRed: 8/30/2015 12:22:44 AMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxj0rorUehU the titan is awesome if you like zooming across the map. they have the best speed over distance, but their burst mobility leaves something to be desired. Skip to the PVP usage if you want to see some stupid bs.
-
Titans take the most skill because they're clunky and inconsistent.
-
1 Replywow, you have a lot to say about it. I main a titan too. but I think the speed (Yes, fastest class) and jump advantages help a little. Stand asides are good for PVP. So are no packup plans. helm of inmost light? oh, what about chest of Alpha Lupi? Stop chewing so much scrubble gum and just play the game.

1 ReplyEdited by EzE: 8/29/2015 11:48:53 PMYes , yes and yes , I saw a poll on these dumbass forums that said striker Titans took the least skill to use...
-
1 ReplyFinally someone that respects the Titan as a precision class instead of the "Git Good Scrub" Fist of Panic Titan. Now if you only give the scout/ the guy constantly your back a little more credit...

I personally experienced the reverse. It could just because the feelings different.

1 ReplyYour funny

Lol. No

No need for a wall of text, everyone knows this fact anyway.

Agreed when it comes to crucible titans definitely require the most skill this is coming from someone who mains a hunter by the way. I play all three class and do really good with my hunter and warlock but when I run crucible with my titan I have to try way harder to even do near as good

2 RepliesEdited by Smasher: 8/29/2015 11:43:11 PMWhy do you guys argue that one class takes skill more than the others? All classes have their advantages and disadvantages. I main a titan because it's fun to use. To be honest none of the classes require skill. I believe it all comes down to the player and his/her preference.
