It is God awful how many people have to use these guns as cane to guide them WOW!!!!
I can't wait for this nerf.
I want the glory days of the auto rifle tbh the crucible was way more balanced then.
I know I'm not the only one to think this.

1 ReplyYou will just complain about suros and hardlight so just stop it with these post

Edited by DatNeon: 8/12/2015 1:13:03 PMI'd rather use a cane than not be able to walk. Everyone knows that those two are the best primaries in the game right now, so if you are trying to do the best you can you have to equip yourself the best you can. Your just handicapping your abilities by not using the best guns. And once the nerf comes around, which will be a welcome change, there will be new top guns. It's not cheap, or OP to use what's best.
I want the glory days of the auto rifle tbh the crucible was way more balanced then.
So you want to go back to the days when everyone used SUROS Regime as a cane to guide them.

I remwmber when there was varity in pvp. Now its focused around the metta of tlw and thorn...
-
Sorry...but I'm still gonna use TLW because it's fun. But I've always loved hand cannons so...the auto rifle thing isn't that important to me. At least with hand cannons you've gotta aim with each of your shots. Auto rifles are just like meh. Spray and play. Lots of bullets so it's ok to miss half the clip. I remember the Suros days. It'll be interesting if it falls back into that. Probably not considering the crucible has "aged" so I'm assuming there will be variety because more people have a stockpile of good weapons saved up.
-
Fun to use though. Personally I get tHorny in IB and always in ToO.

I think once the shotguns are nerfed, I will enjoy my TLW even more. If they fixed the range component on ALL weapons to appropriate distances, they wouldn't have to -blam!- with the impact and stability as much.
-
1 ReplyIt felt more balanced when everyone was using suros/shadowprice/vanquisher because auto rifles are a much more accessible weapon class than hand canons. It also felt more.competitive because more people could be effective with those weapons. I preferred the old imbalances over the current state of crucible. I fear bungie have built a game that is completely impossible to balance in pvp due to the sheer number of variations in perks across weapons and armour and the dependency on keeping things useful in pve.
-
It's because the kill time on even the Suros was more than about two seconds

4 RepliesHate to tell you, with regards to TLW, the only thing that will change is you won't be mapped by it anymore. The hip fire, as it was intended to use, is actually getting a buff. I, for one, am very happy. My current meta is aggressive sniper and TLW works exceptionally well for close encounters. Once I won't be so worried about shotguns killing me from across the room, I'll more than likely be an even more deadly killer.
-
no it wasn't lol everything else was useless

1 ReplyI play little pvp and am pretty terrible but pve is getting old so been trying it.out lately. Last night I used three little words (a pulse I had saved since TDB DLC days. It has almost the same base stats but with more range than hopscoth. I NEVER use pulse rifles in PVE but was very suprised how well it performed in PVP. Being a total noob in PVP and not knowing the maps, I previously used thorn or last word just to feel competitive. But last night I felt proud using that pulse. Ironically at least 4 out 6 of the enemy players were using thorn/last word each round we played lol.

11 RepliesReally? The glory days of the auto rifle? You're problem isn't with incorrect weapon balance. You're upset that your auto rifles aren't OP anymore. I actually want real balance. All weapon types need to have an edge in its respected area. There should not an end all be all.
-
3 RepliesOmg... Shut up.. God the amount of posts like this is awful. I understand they're hella overpowered, but just tough it out till mis-September, or play something else man. All the bitching and moaning has finally caught Bungie's attention and they're on their way to fix it. Quiet down about it now.
-
5 RepliesUhm the last word is getting a buff lol. They will still be good and I will still use them and own you.
-
3 RepliesTo be honest, even if the auto rifes stayed the same, people would have moved to hand cannons when the community started to realise how powerful they were. Pretty much nobody had TLW until Xur sold it the first time. Nobody knew of its power.

2 RepliesEdited by Only_m5gic: 8/12/2015 12:00:08 PMPlayed against a team of thorners and TLW with NLB and praedyths revenge. Had a K/D of 14.0

2 RepliesYou mean when auto rifles WERE thorn and the last word.

1 ReplyWhen auto rifles had more range and damage than snipers and scout rifles and thorn lol
-
1 ReplyWere you around when Suros was King ? Thorn will go the same way. Use it while you can.
-
1 ReplyAt some point, you will use a gun that someone else thinks is overpowered, then what? Are you going to simply store it in the vault, or just use it for PvE out of gracious consideration for fellow guardians? I think not. Just my opinion.
-
2 Replies...people will always use best guns no matter what game. in destiny's Crucible those best guns are currently Exotic Handcannons, and the reason for that is their effectiveness Thorn is in fact THE MOST effective gun in this game (except for Heavy and Special weapons ofc), because all you need to do is to hit your opponent ONCE. now, i know that's not gonna kill him, but with that 111 (or whatever) headshot plus the DoT, chances are he won't make it across another corner, especially not in 6v6, but it's often the case in 3v3 as well - which is also the main reason why so many use it, and rightfully so side-note: i certainly do agree Thorn takes little skill as it virtually doesn't have learning curve, but TLW? give ANYone Thorn and they're most likely to get more kills than with any other weapon, but give the same guy TLW and he's gonna struggle a lot
