Why the -blam!- are people asking for 34 only on crota
If you do this, you are an ass.
Edit 1.. I have 3 34's myself just don't understand why some people are so unwilling to help new people..

Edited by Raider TCK: 7/22/2015 12:35:53 AMOk so this REALLY surprised me. A 34 sword bearer will kill crota in 10 'slams'. I had to eat some humble pie with this. A 32 takes 17 slams. On normal difficulty. So I guess there is more margin for error using a 34 sword bearer. Here is a video of me doing crota normal as a 34 for comparison; http://youtu.be/w6flyq06_go All being said a 32 on normal should still 2 sword crota. 34 should never be a requirement for pre HOW content. I would much rather have an experienced 32 as a sword bearer than a 34 who wasn't as experienced.

2 RepliesBecause anyone who is still at 32 is a newb, and can't be trusted to know the drill. No one wants to wipe at Oversoul a dozen times so people request other players who have completed the entire game, because odds are they have some experience with Crota.

CE is 32. Hard is 33. I recently levelled a Titan and hunter, it took less than 2 weeks to get them both to level 34. The lfg elitism I encountered was baffling. I have killed crota as sword bearer 30+ times. Even when doing normal I would offer to run sword and I would here things like 'you can't run sword you are only a 32/33'. Idiots. I would then insist on running sword the first time an elitist 34 idiot got himself killed. I take 30s through hard CE all the time. Honestly if you have 1-2 32+ team mates it's fine.

No one actually wants to play the raid anymore, they just want the rewards, so the faster it can be done, the better.

My friend only recently started on ps4 and I ran him through at 27 and 30 soloing it except on hard where he used his HoC to help take crota down.. You definitely don't need 34's so people who ask for only them are 8===D's

Ran a 30 a couple days ago. A 27 popped-in, everyone, including a 29 and 2 30's cringed. I thought, 'I'll give him a go'. Lasted the entire way and was prob the MVP. [spoiler]Don't be fooled by levels.[/spoiler]

39 RepliesWell... I ask for 33+, because you need everyone to be at least same level as crota unless you have a good team to carry someone... Like some of my friends did with my lvl 30 hunter when I ran hard... It's just people can't rely on themselves to get a good ft of 4-5 together and beat him

Noobs in vog are classic. Admit u dont know the mechanics and ask for guidance. Dying and beinf carried the entire raid is pointless. Speak up new guardians = learn

2 RepliesSerious question, is this in the recruitment forums on bnet, or the dedicated lfg sites, or both? I don't LFG very often and when I do its always through these forums and I don't encounter too much of these elitist posts and I always make sure I'm as accommodating as possible!

I would honestly rather play with a newbie 31 that wants to learn how the raid works and have fun, than a noob 34 that thinks they're hot shit but actually suck and can't listen to simple instructions no matter how they are delivered. I'd rather help a newcomer than a newcomer disguised as an experienced player. Either I want experienced players in my raid group (which are bound to be 34) or I want to help people and have fun. Noobie 34s are just so interesting and truthfully aggravating (unless they acknowledge that level means nothing anymore and they still have a lot to learn).

1 ReplyWhy do posts like this still come up? People ask for the highest level under the assumption that if they're the highest level, they've been around longest and can do the raid properly. This was more appropriate when 32 and 30 were harder to get to. But the point still stands.
