Regarding any patch, weekly updates, or news reactions. It isn't Bungie, it's you, the community. This community without a doubt is the most poisonous video game community that has ever developed. You know why? Because you are hypersensitive. You are like a 7 year old boy, who demands he gets exactly what he wants, by screaming obnoxiously. Here, let me explain:
Community: We need weapons to be balanced! This game is broken!
Bungie then releases a VERY fair outline of what they're going to fix.
Community: What the -blam!- Bungie, why are you nerfing my gjally and last word!? I wanted my gun to still be OP as -blam!-!
Other examples would be year one rewards, the luke smith interview, and TTK pricing. Whenever Bungie does something nice, you take it for granted and you want more. Whenever Bungie tries making the game fair and balanced, you get mad because you don't like your guns being changed (which is ironic, when literally HOURS before the patch notes went live, you begged for nerfs and buffs, you -blam!-ing turncoat, it's all good until they touch your weapon, right?). Whenever bungie keeps you updated on a weekly basis (which is FAR more often then some developers) you say: these weekly updates are annoying. You are literally hunting for mistakes just so you can pounce on them. You are the first to whine, and you are the first to ask for more when they give you goodies.
Bottom line, the Destiny community is a horrible place, and you need to change. You need to realize that Bungie isn't going to listen to you whine, but they will listen to you give positive, and constructive feedback. Look at the exotic bounties, they saw people wanted more multi stage quests, and they've been implementing that.
Again, stop being so damn ignorant, obnoxious, and stubborn. Sure, they make mistakes, EVERYONE makes mistakes. Believe it or not, they care, and they try to fix those mistakes. The same can't be said for some other developers. Stop harassing them, provide constructive feedback, quit yo bitchin, and remember..
It's a -blam!-ing video game. There are other things in life that are worth your time. Whining helps no one.
Edit: As for the patch, the ghorn needed a nerf, stop clinging onto your god weapon. They want to curate experiences that require you to use mechanics instead of burning the boss down in seconds.
Edit 2: As expected, the shitty community continues to act like shit.
Edit 3: Okay.. some people that get it are starting to come in... Welcome intelligent and open minded people!
Edit 4: Some people think that I am considering myself "above them", this isn't the case. We're all on the same level, never did I say I personally was better then anyone. Also, the intelligent people are the people that support, yes, but also the people that don't support yet still have an open mind and are willing to debate and behave like ADULTS. You guys are da real MVP. Learn from these guys instead of throwing out childish insults and one liners..
Edit 5: People seem to say that I don't get the struggle, because they believe I wasn't a day one player. I was, I played the second it came out, at midnight. I bought the ghost edition, I did the VoG the DAY it came out. I know the grind it used to be. People complain about the grind being weak now, when before the dlc people said it needed to be less of a grind to get to 30. Another shining example of how screwed up the community can be. Also, mind you, yolohorn was my first exotic, I got it week 3, from crucible.
Edit 6: No more edits incoming. I love the attention this is getting, and i'm glad people are coming out of the darkness to speak up. Spread this around if you can, my goal believe it or not (to those of you that are still being assholes) is to make sure we can actually provide feedback that bungie will listen to, instead of just whining. Bungie won't listen when you whine, they will listen, however, if you're constructive about what you say. This game has its faults, but the best way to fix those faults is by acting rationally, responding rationally, and treating others (INCLUDING BUNGIE, THEY MADE THIS GAME FOR YOU) with the respect that they deserve. I know to some of you, this sounds like an attack on your person, it isn't. Sometimes you need tough love to get through to people that refuse to act rational at times.
Hold onto that light guardians, don't be tainted by the darkness.

Yeah, this community is one of the most whiniest communities I've ever seen in the gaming world. When Bungie fixes one problem, 10 more come up because of all the needy people who want Destiny to be EXACTLY how they deem fit. A lot of people play this game, which means a lot of opinions. For every action they make, some people will be happy, and many people will be whiney and angry. How about instead of focusing on all the bad things, how about we look at all the good things that this game has to offer, like great and unique shooter mechanics or missions that you can play over and over again and still have fun? But no... the glass is always half empty with most of this community...
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one, and most of them stink.
I agree. Most of the COD gamers are comeing over to this game and, make it worse for the people THAT at lest enjoy this game. I'm talking the truth here. So do not say I'm not ,

Whilst I agree that there is far too much whining and entitlement within this forum, I have to point out that when a game gets things right and listen to their community, the forums look nothing like this, and while a percentage may not be the most articulate I think the foundation of the posts comes from a general dissatisfaction of destiny as a whole and how it's developing. These people want to give it a chance, they want to enjoy it, but wrong decisions along the way have bred frustration, so why not focus more on the reason for the toxicity, rather than attack the gamers that just want to, well, game....... :p

1 ReplyBungie created the community

This is the thread I've been searching for. Someone who states an honest and unbiased opinion AND welcomes arguments from both sides so long as it is constructive. Granted, a lot of posts in the thread aren't, but that's to be expected with some of the people on the forums. I applaud you sir. Don't let these guys who can't form a non aggressive response get to you

Edited by Unknown Error: 7/20/2015 3:28:17 AMFinally I have found another person on this forum who is actually sane!! I'm embarrassed to say how long I have been searching for someone like you!! Very good speech!!
-
Very good premise and points. Cheers, mate!

2 RepliesWe need more in the community like you and less screaming little kids who wants their enemies weapons to be nerfed but not their own
-
4 RepliesAgreed, the community AS A WHOLE is very whiney and emotional. There was a poll done earlier this week where something like 60% of the people on the forum are 15 and under, the trophy generation (everyone gets a trophy for participation or something). Again I am not attacking anyone specifically and if you feel that I am then I suggest you take a step back an reflect on yourself. I am speaking about the community AS A WHOLE.

Bump!!!! All the weapons beeing balanced, really needed it! They've listened to us and now everyone acting like babies cuz they can face templar with full team of 34s with 365 gjally xD

Oh my goodness, you have vocalized all my thoughts for me. Enjoy this bump, incredible logic and work here.
-
Agree with you bro. Can't comment my opinion without a troll coming out of the closet. Sorry but your words just will never reach some people.
-
This community is mild compared to CoD. They are headed down a path towards self destruction.
-
Very good! Bump
-
BIGGEST BUMBP EVER I AM SICK AND TIRES OF ALL THIS COMMUNITY'S BITCHIN' ON COMPLETELY NECESSARY NERFS!

2 RepliesI agree. The black hammer was originally supposed to use reserve ammo, and now that they're fixing it, players are complaining
-
half right half wrong, bungie has messed up A LOT not oops let me fix that, pardon me,no down right insulting cash cows walking on the fan base.. yes the gun tweeks are in the right direction.,they must maintain damage control. as for the toxic users and inconsiderate with no manners, yes there is A LOT of that too.i struggle not to bite back sometimes. its like the flu and it catches others. my new thing for nasty comments is......"thanx for bumping my post XD" LOL
-
The only real issues I have with the weapon balancing are black hammer, ice breaker, and fusion rifles. BH and Ice Breaker should be left alone. They aren't game breaking. One is exotic and one is a raid gun. They are supposed to be very strong. The only reason I'm even remotely upset about any fusion rifle nerf is because I really like using my vex. It doesn't have to be op like it originally was, but keep it usable. It's hard to get and extremely fun. Gally nerf...meh. It doesn't bother me. I feel like I "earned" mine getting it after almost 700 hours and spending over 4 hours teaching a group the raid that day. (I know it's all up to rngesus). Gally elitists are ignorant. It's an op rocket but doesn't mean anything about a players worth.

1 ReplyI didnt read your whole post because i figured you were being one of those pricks. Lol sorry if you read my earlier post i deleted and said I agreed. Which I do. Good day
-
You really truly are this oblivious to the real problem of the game? I cannot help you, if you cannot help yourself.
-
30 RepliesSeriously. Kids whine because they don't have it. So they rage when they killed by it. It's supposed to be the best weapon in the game overall because of the wolf pack. NO ONE ASKED FOR A GALLY NERF. Your post is nothing but a Losers rant.

I agree with everything you said except the Luke Smith interview, that warranted some sense to be beat into Bungie, and the TTK digital stuff deserved some yelling too. Everything else though: the pricing, the patches, and (sometimes) the weekly updates is A-OK and needs to stop being shit on by some of the people here. The Smith Interview warranted some yelling on our part because the guy literally insulted the Destiny community (and the entire playerbase) when he said: "If you saw these 3 emotes, you would throw money at the screen!". Good post OP, it's good to see some people still fighting the good fight :)

Edited by cutz: 7/19/2015 11:04:28 PMLol my bad deleted my post. I agree haha. Sorry bro.
