What is wrong with our society today where people just have to exploit others for Ill gotten gains?
I went lfg in the early hours in the hope of getting a couple of people to do trials with.
Almost all posts were people offering to carry me to the Lighthouse but only if I paid $40 or $60 or gave then a $20 psn card.
I didn't want carried, I can handle my own. I just wanted 2 people to do it with.
It also made me realise, how elitist Bungie has made trials that these people can exploit the community this way.
I don't ever remember anyone offering to take me through a raid for cash?
This needs to be sorted.
If the match making was fixed and you only got paired with people of similar skill the whole flawless trials achievement would be more attainable by us mere mortals.
I just felt like sharing my view and to warn others to avoid these vapid blights on out community.
As a side note I did find 2 people who just wanted to play and didn't care if we didn't go flawless. We went 6-0 before losing the next 3. So thank you to these guys for making it a good night as really enjoyed our so near yet so far gaming.
I also got booted from a team when I told them I hadn't already been flawless, but that's a whole different can of elitist worms...

1 ReplyIve never seen this on xbone.

3 RepliesIt is sad that people will take advantage of this kind of thing and charge people for their help, but whats even worse is some people will actually pay for these services and never even get the help they paid for.

That's PlayStation for ya lmao

2 RepliesWhat I'd like to know is what happens when they take you flawless and you refuse to pay them? I mean do they report you?
-
4 RepliesI once answered a post on here looking for one more to do crota, and when I joined the party, it was a group of five guys who would "carry" me for 30 bucks, or 50 for crota and vog. At first I was stunned and saddened at the state of things. Then I told them to pound sand lol

Once people started posting about paying for Trials I guess LFG took notice and ran with it. Pretty sad, can't imagine what trading would be like....

Think this is bad? Check out the prices going for a Blacksmith shader on EBay. Sheesh. Of course it will be hilarious when that shader gets added to the game later in some add on pack.

I feel sad for the people that pay. Bungies twisted psychology experts would be proud.

1 ReplySome people just need to turn off the video games and go out and get a real job

5 RepliesWhat I've seen is alot of people won't bother with trials unless they are pretty sure they can get flawless. It takes the scrubs (like me) out of the picture. I want to run and get better at it but no one really wants to play just to play and see how far you go.

3 RepliesSomeone posted a picture from one of those sights. It said 100$ for flawless and 125 for skolas. I best skolas yesterday for the first time and it wasn't that unbearably hard

1 ReplyI went flawless 7 Times. I would have played/carried you for free lmao. Yeah, it's true. The society is "strange".
-
This is what happens when most of the match making is removed.. Good job Bungie 😕

2 RepliesWhat system do you play on? I just went flawless yesterday night, my first time. If you want to play some trials I'll surely help(no payment of course). If you play on ps3 go ahead and send me a friend request thebombsquad1

Dude people were charging others for raids, still do depending on how fresh the content is. It doesn't bother me, most who think they can carry others get shut down...
which is f-ing hilarious!!!
Edited by WhoAteMyFunDip: 7/12/2015 3:16:36 PMEven normal matchmaking would sort out what LFG has become. Sure, it wouldn't be perfect, but two things would come of it: 1. Everyone would have access to every piece of playable content they paid for. 2. You could meet, as in speak to and see play, other people. Meet a couple people you like, voila, you have a group.

2 RepliesYou look splendid today

1 ReplyIsn't it more sad the people actually paying up? And I'm sorry, not sure who your playing against but if I came across a team who was carrying another it is in essence a 3v2 battle where they get smashed.

6 RepliesJust git good scrub

3 RepliesI hope no one ever pays to be carried. I hope no one ever FEELS like they need to pay to be carried.

14 RepliesEdited by SpankyMcSpanky: 7/12/2015 1:51:48 PMIf they added Matchmaking to Trials I would love it. Winning Flawless with a Fireteam of people you know will be easier when the "Mu....muh matchmaking" kiddies out to play. Watching the random matchmaking scrubs cower in fear from a Fireteam of friends who communicate, so excited just thinking about it. Edit: Also, the whole "I got a life" excuse is way too played out. I know people who have full time jobs, are married and have kids that have flawless.

Exactly, people say that trials is the most competitive game mode there is, but without skill based matchmaking, competitive players will just win 5-0 nine times in a row. Not a lot of competition there, also not a lot of competition for the people that are losing 5-0 every time. I don't play trials a lot, but when I do I either win by like 5-0 or 5-1, or I lose by 5-0 or 5-1. Trials isn't fun for both the winners and the losers in that situation. If I win or lose a game by like 5-4 or 5-3 I'll have a good time doing it because that's when you can tell both teams are pretty equal and it will be challenging and exciting. To fix trials they should add optional matchmaking, and make the matchmaking skill based

3 RepliesIt's illegal as well. Report them and they may received a ban.
