So Everyone Has To Play The Game The Way Bungie Wants Us To?
This is very sad indeed. I have been playing since day one and have over 1,300 hours into the game. I could not care less about getting an emblem but this is really disgraceful. Even if you have played the game since day 1 you can't get this emblem unless you raid and play crucible. And raid on the hard level by the way! And plenty of Day 1 players don't like PVP so I guess that it is tough luck for them.
This is just another scheme to get people to run raids because the majority of the player base does not run raids. And raids are where the money is. Why? Because you are bringing 5 other players into the game with you . . . it is just a simple numbers game.
A new low has been set here folks.
Edit: I said that many people do not like to play the Crucible. I did not say that I am one of those as I have over 270 hours in PVP.

It's an emblem ffs. And where did you get "majority of player vase doesn't run raids" from? Raids are the most fun activity in the game. Also, the argument of "oh I don't play with a group of friends so I can't run raids" is out because probably at least half, if not more, of the people that run raids do it with completely random groups, me included.

1 ReplyI prefer it this way. Some games give you special/unique rewards for doing specific challenges. Wish that there was more content in this game like this and the original exotic bounties.

You can't blame bungie, because you haven't fully explored content you paid for. You robbed yourself if u don't use every feature in this game. I can't beat skolas, but I'm not complaining. I'm just gonna keep trying.

Lots of emblems have requirements. You aren't forced to get it. Just something cool for the people that like to experience all facets of the game. And all a way for bungie to give you incentive to broaden your horizons. They aren't making you do it. Just giving you something rare to work for. I honestly wish they would have made it a little harder. Like adding flawless in Trials and having to have found every ghost. Everything on this list is skill obtainable and not rng based which I like. But if you dont care about it, or if you dont want to play parts of the game, takes away your fun, or makes you feel like you are being forced to do something you don't want too. Then by all means don't do it. It is really that simple.

Obviously arithmetic isn't your strong point. 1 x Raid event requires 6 people max 1 x control PvP match (ie iron banner) requires 12 people

Why do you think you should be entitled to all the rewards if you only play a fraction of the content. Raids and PvP are a big part of the game.

3 RepliesThe Emblem won't mean jack when TTK comes out as there will probably be new emblems for that, people will want to show off those. Your right though Bungie forcing people to play parts of the game they might not normally play.

The emblem is for year 1 players who have taken the time to appreciate every aspect of the game. From collectibles to endgame activities to at least a brief stroll through PvP. If you can't be bothered to explore the whole game then you don't deserve a veteran's reward. Simple ain't it?

I like both so I'm set. I did pretty much everything already before bungie day. Been at camp for 2 weeks so far and I have 3 left. Once I get back all I need to do is do one public event and find 6 chests and I set :3

If you've ranked up in iron banner and did any exotic bounties.....you should have 100 wins. And the hard raids......aren't hard!!!!!!!
