Who remembers what the very FIRST OP gun was back when Destiny launched? (First to get nerfed)

Edit: It's not Vex, although I shoulda put that in there to throw people off even more! It's true that both the Vex and the gun in question were nerfed at the same time, but the other gun was running rampant in Crucible while very few people actually had the Vex.
Edit Dos: Lots of people saying Shingen, trying to get me on s technicality! I am talking about the Live version of Destiny. As in, September 9th version :)
Extra credit to anyone who mentioned Uni Remote! While not as rampantly OP as the correct answer, it was nerfed very early on. Just so few people had it when the game first came out. Still something only a vigilant day oner world know about :)

1 ReplyAt first I was thinking PI, but if my memory serves me correctly thorn was accidently netted the first time it was intended to be buffed, then it was buffed back up. It only laser one week, I believe it was during an iron banner. So I believe the weapon he is talking about is Thorn. Excluding this accidental nerf the first one was PI

When Xur sold it twice in a few months everyone had it, it wasn't OP, but it was an easily accessible sort of OP gun

2 RepliesEdited by Mr_Haad: 7/2/2015 2:47:35 PMSUROS was godlike, Pre-nerf. It was SUROS or Mythoclast(if you had one) in PvP. Pocket Infinity was also a beast in PvP. Mainly due to the sheer amount of special ammo lying around and it was 8 in mag. I chose SUROS btw. A lot of tears was caused by that weapon.

4 RepliesPulse rifles were garbage including Red Death... Thorn was buffed to its current state because you were better off with a toothpick... Snipers have seemingly never gotten a MAJOR buff or nerf so it's not P&T. While I have heard that pocket infinity would wreck people, it wasn't WIDELY overused. Suros was a monster before the auto nerf and it was widely used and loved by everyone. There's a reason why everyone is clamoring to put Suros back in the conversation of viable guns.

The Red Death was first secretly nerfed about a week or two into the live version of Destiny, thus making it the first Exotic to be nerfed. I'm surprised that so few people know about this.
