Who remembers what the very FIRST OP gun was back when Destiny launched? (First to get nerfed)
Let's see who can answer this question correctly.

Edit: It's not Vex, although I shoulda put that in there to throw people off even more! It's true that both the Vex and the gun in question were nerfed at the same time, but the other gun was running rampant in Crucible while very few people actually had the Vex.
Edit Dos: Lots of people saying Shingen, trying to get me on s technicality! I am talking about the Live version of Destiny. As in, September 9th version :)
Extra credit to anyone who mentioned Uni Remote! While not as rampantly OP as the correct answer, it was nerfed very early on. Just so few people had it when the game first came out. Still something only a vigilant day oner world know about :)

Your question is also misleading because you ask a question and then alter it by adding "first to get nerfed in parentheses". So Suros is the answer to your first question and Pocket infinity is your second answer.

I was a christmas noob, but I remember Suros getting nerfed. Also, I have a pocket infinity bounty and know that it used to hold 8 max, but now it holds less. My guess is pocket infinity because I know that it used to be op, but never heard anything about thorn getting nerfed, only buffed, nobody complains about Patience and Time, and Red Death was recently nerfed, plus I remember when suros was nerfed.

1 ReplyThe answer is...Pocket Infinity. As for the debate about Thorn. There was a buff which gave it 3 extra rounds and slight recoil reduction. As for a Nerf, the only one it has had was a reduction in range which was applied to all Hand Cannons.

Tbh, auto rifles were never op, at least you could get to cover b4 you died, with hand cannons you cant
