Improving Hard Light

The 'Volatile Light' perk should make rounds ricochet directly from one enemy to another in its immediate vicinity. The ricochet damage would be half of initial damage, and rounds would only bounce to enemies fairly close to the target (maybe equal to the diameter of Ward of Dawn). A round can only bounce twice (hitting a maximum of 3 enemies), reducing in damage by 50% with every enemy hit e.g. 1st hit = 16 damage, 2nd hit = 8 damage, 3rd hit = 4 damage. I think this would make it a weapon worth using, especially in pve. It would also make it an interesting choice for pvp without being op in any way. What do you guys think? Edit - I agree that Auto-Rifles need a damage increase across the board. This is just an idea to make an exotic gun perform a little more exotically. Afterall, if Hard Light just got a slight damage increase, would it be worth an exotic slot?[spoiler]Probably not mate[/spoiler]

  • yes. I don't understand what people hate about it so much, it's not that negatively bad in my opinion. A better second perk would be good, too. Such as zen moment or persistence or something...
