If you pre order "The Taken King"...
Plain and simple, if you pre order the DLC knowing that you are just making things worse for all gamers and making it easier for companies to have shady practices to screw us over for more money. If you do know that and you continue to support them, you are worthless and selfish.
And by the way, it would make sense for someone with a lot of play time to criticize the game, because they have a lot of experience. I can't help but insult people who plainly disregard all facts and delve into their ignorance.
Game company releases half assed game at full price.
Forces players to pay more money for more half assed content.
Now wants to force players to pay MORE money for more half assed content.
By players agreeing to this shit, this causes other game companies to say "wow these people are retarded, let's do shit like that, easy money!" and shit like this happens all over again.
Getting kinda bored now.

3 RepliesMore to the point, do not purchase games that without reviews until day of launch or after. Think about it, there is something they do not want out. AC Unity, prime example. Sister was a big fan, has all the collectors stuff for all leading up to this mess. The first one she hasn't finished because she is so disappointed. The Crew, another. Thank god I was able to try a beta test and saw what a mess it was. Destiny. I was part of the beta and foolishly believed what they told us "you only played 10% of the game". In reality, 80% of earth (forgotten shore was off limits), and closer to 25% of the entire game. I knew it was weird that I was level 8 in a hour or two. WatchDogs. It wasn't horrible, but not nearly what it was hyped to be. There;s a few more that I can't think of right now. I like the fact the next batman was pushed back gives me hope, since they realized it was not ready. Same with Witcher 3. Neither may be completely bug free, but at least they will work.

I paid ~$38 for two movie tickets for Jurassic world, a large popcorn, and 2 drinks this Sunday. Paid another 30 for drinks after at the bar so yea $40 for this is a no brainer imho

25 RepliesMany of the people that bitch about shady practices and extra money spent on DLC's and expansions are the same people who have 10+ days played time in Destiny. There aren't a lot of games out there that cost 60 bucks plus a little extra for DLC's and have that kind of longevity or bang for your buck. Most people would rather spend 60 bucks on a new game, play for 20-30 hours tops, and then move on the next "great" game. When we start looking at games as a time played to cost ratio, then maybe we can stop having this discussion. Plus, MMO's having been doing this for a long time and also included subscription fees. The majority of the communities don't really bitch and complain. Why? Because players of the MMO genre understand that ,when comparing their hours played to the actual cost of a game over a long period of time, they are actually saving money as opposed to spending 60 dollars repeatedly on new games.

5 RepliesI'm starting to believe that everyone complaining about the price is under the age of 16 and can't get a job. $40 dollars is nothing. I spend that everyday just going to work and buying lunch. With a game that give you 300-600 hours of play time $40 is a small price. I've never played a game this much and I've spent way less than some of the pc games I play. (GW2, WoT)
