I am one too. But are any of you kinda angry that all these new kids act like they are so boss being level 34. But they have no clue how to beat a vog on hard, or how hard it was to get level 30 before.
I bring this up because i was arguing with a level 34 guy because he thought he knew more about the game simply because i was a level 33.
I showed him some of my guns like the shadow price and devil you know. I told him about the beta and how the grind was a pain before the dark below. And so much more... In the end he figured out that he didn't know shit about destiny.
Share your opinion on this topic. What grinds your gears about the way you level up now compared to before?.

Gears not 'grinded', but as a fellow player since the beta, I feel the pain of having to take the slow route to max levels while the new players race right up to max rank. In the end though, it's an IMPROVEMENT despite the toll bungie's screwed up levelling system took on the early die-hard playerbase. I've not run into too many "new generation knowitalls" though, I tend to shy away from talking to randoms unless I'm forced to LFG something :P

2 RepliesI was doing VoG today with a bunch of 34's who had no idea. Didn't understand why they kept dying when relic was dropped. Couldn't finish gatekeeper... It was painful... When I showed them the gear like the Vex they got excited but were upset there was no way of melting atheon like PoE with gally's. I gave up on them.

Nice.

2 RepliesI hope that with the Taken King dlc, Bungie gets rid of etheric light. Make the raid gear the only way to hit max level. That is the one area that Dark Below did right.

Remember doing a hard vog as a 29 hunter. You were bricking it as you had no personal defence like a bubble or self res. The fear of failure was so great that when you completed it, it felt so rewarding. The game was always going to get easier the longer we played it. I really think they should raise vog enemy levels and possible reward treasure keys or etheric light. Vog is dying but it still remains such a fun aspect of the game in my opinion.

Check this out man, it took 24 hours for 19-34 on my titan lol

I love helping new players (Im a week 2 myself) but any of them under 13 annoy me, as they want everything handed to them and just want to be carried to the loot.
-
2 RepliesI do hate the noobs who think there God but on the other hand I love helping the guys who want help and getting the through crota and the like just to be helpful. Back when I was a noob like everyone else I would have killed for that help. On another note. Day one guys can be just as bad, being elitist and not helping anyone not their own level. Please help the guys who don't know the game, be helpful and the community will be a better place for everyone. P.s noobs if your being helped be thankful. I got a thank you message from a guy and it made my day. Do the same and everyone is happy.

1 ReplyPepridge farm remembers the grind.
-
It annoys the -blam!- out of me... They don't know the grind or the struggle
-
2 RepliesYeah farming materials, grinding everything, strange coins and motes of light were worth something and worth the grind Everything just seemed harder back then, except the raid lol
-
that's why they get dropped in PVP.
-
I just run my 365 vision of confluence and while they are frozen, staring in awe..........I head shot them and move on.
-
I appreciate the fact that it's easier. I took a long break (aka TDB was a massive steaming shit and I didn't want to deal with it) and coming back having never hit the cap before I'm ok with how the new leveling works.
-
I play since day 2. New noobs that got this game for 3 months think they are wayyy pp but never even did vog easy or crota and didn't experience a lot of guns and the time you got blues from legendary engrams etc

I'm not salty about it. I will say it's pathetic to see a 34 running VOG who has absolutely no clue whatsoever of what needs to be done or even what is going on. Experienced this at Atheon last night. It was a mess. His mic was malfunctioning as well so we could not communicate. At one point (I have the relic on Mars) he jumps through the gate, runs up to me never attempting to hit an oracle, I cleanse him and he literally turns around and high tales it out of Mars again, never once landing an oracle hit. We wipe and start over, he jumps up on the deck of the Mars gate and proceeds to fire every weapon he has at Atheon only to find out what a void bomb looks like up close. Funny side note: the Brit we were with tells him after Atheon downs him "Awe mate, you just had him, only a couple more shots". Sounds like nothing now but the lilt and tone in his voice made it a stellar Rekt moment.

i played was in a hard more corta raid the other day and i was like. we are 34 we cheesing the bridge. they didnt even know who o open the bridge nd 3 of them died trying to get over
-
2 RepliesDay 1 player here. You're a fuking idiot.
-
Sometimes it bothers me that they don't have to grind and level up the way we did. One hard VOG a week and hopefully getting the armor. Only being a level 29 in VOG hard was acceptable because those were the highest levels at the time. The. Crota comes out and 32 was a bit easier to achieve than level 30 was. And now with the house of wolves u can be level 34 in a mere day

1 ReplyI ask randoms if they like the devil you know if they go what's that they get kicked
-
6 RepliesAsk them about what the loot cave is and where it's located. If they don't know, they ain't hardcore
