Ok just hear me out. I have all three characters and do enjoy them all. So this isn't a hate post about hunters.
Let's be real for a minute. If this is going to be some horde mode with endless waves of enemies then what do hunters bring to the table that can help defend in a team work style game play
Warlocks:
- nova bomb will clear out huge packs of enemies especially equipped with obsidian mind. Endless nova bombs will be a huge factor
- Raidiance can play a big roll in this considering we could see a lot of death when we get into high waves. Being able to come back to life and pick up other down teammates to save the game could be huge. Not to mention endless grenades to clear out huge groups
Titans:
- Ward of Dawn can play a huge part in this. Especially paired with helm of saint 14. It's a big team oriented super then can benefit everyone and keep the fight going with blessing and more damage with weapons
- fist of havic can be key when taking out a big group on your ass or clearing out those bosses that we just can't take down at the moment
hunter:
- blade dance could be effective but in the end it really doesn't do much when you have too many enemies grouped and doesn't make a lot of orbs to help your teammates get there supers back. Going invisible could help a lot but thats about the only thing I see be useful. Hunters don't have much armor to begin with so this is what worries me.
- golden gun in my opinion could be the least effective super in this mode. Yes It can take out some bosses quick if need be but the fact that you only get 3-4 shots doesn't seem to me like it would be as much use in the team based mode where everyone needs to support each other. Only thing I see being useful is that fact that they can create quick orbs for everyone when it's needed
Please give me your opinion id love to hear it!

People seriously have to play more games, cause you're going crazy over no information making a completely uneducated assumption. If you had a larger library of games, youd be able to see that making the prison of elders like a rift makes the most sense
-
6 RepliesGolden gun + combustion + keyhole= a lot more than 3-4 kills
-
Bladedancer - Infinite super. If you use it effectively. Gunslinger - Combustion. Hope you know what it is.
-
Look up what a nephalym rift is in Diablo 3. I'm guessing it will be almost similar to a dungeon raid style of event where you kill x amount of minions to spawn x boss.
-
1 ReplyIdk combustion and encore
-
Its not going to be horde mode. Its going to be like rifts in diablo ros, it makes the most sense based on what they said they wanted to achieve. Horde mode will not take skill, just a good campin position, and it will also not provide replay ability. It just wont. If, and only if they made it like rifts would it make sense with what they said.

4 RepliesWarlocks have the least health/armor out of all classes and Hunter Golden Gun + Combustion = Death and many orbs. Hunters get supers fastest and bladedancer has Arc Blade + Encore = Infinite super. Each class will be useful, but I see them all having increased use instead of only having one good preferred class like Hunters in Crotas End.
-
Combustion.
-
I don't think it will be just horde mode, I think there will be mini-bosses every once in a while. Atleast I hope so.
-
Going invisible and reviving their dead teammates? Really if a player is good at the game they will be a benefit, regardless of class.
-
And when the warlocks and Titans are dead (as usual) we hunters will be invisible and alive resurrecting your ass3s
-
I think golden gun with the explosion perk makes for good crowd control. It's bad for bosses but shoot 4 vandals and the explosion kills dregs around it. Blade dancer can be used for clutch situations. We don't really have much info on the arena but blade dancer is by far the best class for reviving people assuming you can revive people.
-
Lol, hunters will be just fine. Worry about your class please
-
1 ReplyEffective not affective...
-
I'm thinking bladedancers shock wave with the perk that gives more super with every kill would help but I'd play defensively with invisibility stacked and the chest armor that revives faster
-
there will be enemies that don't have a 1shot so arcblade will be useful gunslinger will be goood crowd control.
-
3 RepliesMaybe with the new Hunter subclass?
-
I would run blade dancer before any other subclass because if im in trouble i can panic super and stay invisible for over 30 seconds
-
Edited by Devious Belly Button: 4/15/2015 7:37:35 PMLol are you kidding? GG shot with over penetrating and explosions easily wipe out 10 mobs in one shot And BD can easily wipe out 5-6 enemies with encore per attack. Someone doesn't think things through
-
If there are large waves of enemies, arc blade can take out infinitely more enemies than nova bomb or fist of panic
-
I plan on using blade dancer in the arena. Mainly because invisibility can get you out of tough situations and plus you can revive teammates without getting shot at. And as for damage? Guns and grenades always do the trick.
-
3 RepliesArcblade isn't that great of a PvE super to begin with. My team is going to consist of two Sunsingers and a Defender.
-
2 RepliesGolden gun combustion is very large explosion and very effective at taking out mobs, it can also spawn max orbs which is great refilling team supers. It can also be set to overpenatrate so you can hit a knight at distance even if a thrall jumps in the way. Bladedancer is least effective in my opinion.
-
3 RepliesGolden gun combustion is one of the best supers in the game kiddo
-
Nah homie I'll be rocking bladedancer with encore
-
The only thing I can see is them turning invisible
