Drunk drivers have licenses that say they are qualified to operate vehicles. But they end up killing innocent people because of their actions. Qualifications and regulations don't stop people from making terrible decisions with things they have access to.

I thought we agreed that guns shouldn't be treated like other goods. I agree with your point, which is why I qualified my statement with "extremely." I'm not saying we hand automatic weapons out like we do with driver's licenses, I am saying the exact opposite. And currently, I think we are pretty close. How many murders per year involved automatic rifles?
