After 917 hours........
I finally got the Gjallahorn. At this point, Im not even gonna upgrade it. Yes, ive spent too much time on Destiny, yes i kind of regret playing that much, but i had to finish what i started. i am living proof that everything in destiny can be completed easily without G-horn. Hopefully Destiny 2 can fix what Destiny 1 messed up so badly on, i.e. lack of content and story, awful rewards systems, rebalancing all weapons to force us to play with trash they made in the firrst place, pvp where lag gives you an advantage, never fixing glitches that cause wipes or force longer playtimes, etc.
EDIT: sorry to come off so negative, after so many hours i obviously do enjoy this game. i like the lore, mechanics, classes, guns and perks. its still fun to play, although at times can be frustrating.
EDIT 2: ok, well i couldnt help myself, ive started to upgrade the g-horn.

1 ReplyLol to edit 2 ;-) I finally got mine yesterday too from Ir-Yût after over 900 hours and it's nearly completely upgraded as I had 10 bounties on each of my characters to turn in. Did another Crota run with it and holy shit, this weapons melts his shield. And yes, I hope Xûr sells it at some point so everybody can enjoy this masterpiece!

I'm in the same boat, no Hawkmoon and no Gally either. Also bad luck in the raid, ran Crota on normal 15 times in a row (across 3 characters over 5 weeks) and never even got a single raid weapon for it. After that, I stopped doing raids, nightfall, and weeklies all together. Just do PvP now and some bounties occassionally.

I'm in the same boat. I feel like after I finally get rewarded with a Gjallarhorn I won't care to do much with it because I won't have anything to do...I currently only play to try and get the gally so if I do get it I dunno what reason I'll have anymore...especially with the holdback of HoW. Not to mention if the division comes out anytime around or before HoW I'm completely done with this game....so IDK...I guess it's a lose lose.

I feel ya. It would be so much better if it wasn't for the wipe causing glitches, and the lagvantage filled Crucible. Honestly there are times where I get fed up and want to pull my Ethernet cable and use WiFi instead for crucible

Nice job man. Got mine about a month ago finally. Still grinding for suros. Little did I know that when I passed them up at the beginning they'd be so hard to get. Level it up. Don't use it very often but it is fun sometimes
