Invent a perk!

Invent your own unique weapon/armor/class perk. Let's see what guardians can come up with! Edit: This got a lot more attention than I expected. Maybe we will see some of these perks in the future! Some people had really good ideas.

  • Actually had an interesting idea, what about perks that synergize with other classes? Like people suggest a perk that lets Titans shoot out of their bubble, but what if a different class had that perk? If a Titan could drop a bubble and still shoot normally that might be a little unbalanced, but if say a Hunter or Warlock got that perk? Benefits teamwork, isn't OP all on it's own, and adds interesting gameplay mechanics/class interactions.

            Alrighty! Time for a perk for each weapon type! [u]Auto Rifle[/u] [b]When it Rains[/b] - This weapon fires slower and deals more damage the longer the trigger is held. [b]Hold This[/b] - Kills with this weapon increase grenade damage for a short time. (5 seconds, up to 2x damage) [b]My Cup Runneth Over[/b] - Getting a kill with the final round of the magazine doubles the size of the next. [u]Scout Rifle[/u] [b]Focused Fire[/b] - Landing precision shots increases precision damage. [b]Wasn't Aiming for You[/b] - Missing shots significantly increases precision damage for a short time. (5 seconds, up to 5x damage) [b]Predator[/b] - Killing an enemy with precision damage grants temporary invisibility. (10 seconds) [u]Hand Cannon[/u] [b]Strike me Down[/b] - Reloading this weapon while the magazine is empty grants bonus damage for a short time. (5 seconds) [b]Roulette[/b] - Rounds fired from this weapon have the chance to ignite an enemy. [b]The Law of the Jungle[/b] - Getting a kill with the final round grants a temporary overshield. [u]Pulse Rifle[/u] [b]Over and Over[/b] - The last round of each burst deals bonus damage. [b]Break Through[/b] - Rounds fired from this weapon ignore enemy shields. [b]And One in Reserve[/b] - The final burst fires an additional round which deals significantly more damage. (3x more damage) [u]Shotgun[/u] [b]Boomstick[/b] - Aiming this weapon significantly reduces range and increases damage. [b]Handful[/b] - All rounds in a magazine are fired simultaneously. [b]Skeet Shooter[/b] - Aiming this weapon reduces spread and increases range. [u]Sniper Rifle[/u] [b]Hit'em Again[/b] - Kills with precision damage refill the magazine. [b]ATR[/b] - Rounds fired from this weapon have the chance to explode on impact. [b]One for Good Luck[/b] - Hitting an enemy with the last round of the magazine grants one additional shot. [u]Fusion Rifle[/u] [b]Violent Fusion[/b] - Aiming this weapon reduces its spread and increases range. [b]Automatically[/b] - Each bolt is fired one at a time fully-automatically. [b]Fission[/b] - Enemies killed by this weapon explode. [u]Machine Gun[/u] [b]Get Behind Me[/b] - Kills with the weapon grant ammo directly to the magazine. (10 per kill) [b]Hive Mind[/b] - Rounds fired from this weapon actively seek targets. [b]We Dine in Hell[/b] - Continuously firing this weapon boosts armor. ("Continuously" = 2 seconds; lasts until trigger is let go, 1.5x boost) [u]Rocket Launcher[/u] [b]From the Heavens[/b] - Rounds fired from this weapon grow stronger the longer they're in flight. (up to 3x damage) [b]Cluster[/b] - Rounds fired from this weapon split into six separate rounds before striking their target. [b]Pocket Rocket[/b] - Significantly increases velocity; severely decreases blast radius. (2x increase and 1/2 decrease) This topic is fun as hell. Enjoy. Probably not gonna do armor because that's boring (unless I do exotic armor, but that's for another thread).

                              • A change of hearts (Replaces Thorns DOT) As soon as you shoot an enemy, as long as it is not a boss (Crota, Atheon) that enemy turns against its own race, it stops harming you and begins to harm its own allies.

                                      • Hand Cannon Hammer Space - Every precision kill adds one bullet to the cylinder. Pulse Rifle Stanton's Pride - Burst rate is decreased but stability it increased. Scout Rifle Unbelievable - Missed shots have a small chance of ricocheting off the next solid object they hit. Said shots will ricochet towards missed enemy. Auto Rifle Action Hero - Shooting from the hip notably increases fire rate. Shotgun Paranoid - Precision kills increase reload speed. Fusion Rifle Focus Fire - Charge rate is notably decreased but range and accuracy are notably increased. Sniper Rifle Piece of Tape - You get a reticule when aiming from the hip. Machine Gun Hand Fed - Significant increase to mag size. Rocket Launcher Salvo - One trigger pull releases entire magazine of rockets. Stability deceased.
