The fact that it got almost 1000 replies means awareness was met whether you agreed or not is completely your opinions. I come across the hate mail often and usually ignore but decided not to this time and just felt the need to remind people to be respectful.
To all the negative comments, I'm a very casual gamer. I usually crucible just for bounties. I like to raid more than anything but enjoy crucible for fun. I don't really care about stats or score or whatever. My grimoire score is high because Destiny is literally the only game I've played for a few months now, but I don't keep track of it if it goes up then cool.
Anyway, giving away the Atheon cp on hard for anyone that wants it (whether you agreed with my previous post or not :p).
Will be doing so for the next 20 mins before walking dead just msg me if you want it or join.
Edit: I'm on Xbox one.

Your a really skilled player so I can see why people would hate on you. Also your a girl which will infuriate some people if you beat them and cause them to cuss and threaten you. At the end of the day the haters are just jealous. Keep strong and carry on gamer

I hear whining again. Hey everyone I'm a guy gamer, I need help soo add me.

So are you good with Rye? We all know the best sandwiches are made on Rye bread.
-
Just like kids growing up with no manners. They won't make it far in the real world.

3 AntwortenYou just met someone who's an idiot we all do that. His mommy probably still cuts the crusts off his sandwiches for him :)
-
Yup, stupid people will send girl gamers ignorant messages. They also send ignorant messages to: - People who beat them: "Tryhards" - People whom they beat: "Scrubs" - People who play defense: "Campers" - People who have a lot of items they don't: "No-Lifers" - People who use weapons they don't like: "Shotgun / Fusion Rifle Noobs" - People who use their class abilities (I don't have a name for this one) You get the picture. My advice to you - your first mistake was "trading insults". Someone sends you something stupid, you block them and move on. Acknowledging them in any fashion only gives them what they want - a reaction. If it happens more often than you're comfortable with, set your comm preferences to "friends only".
-
See, I wouldn't raid with you. Not because you are a girl, but because I would have to watch every little thing I say around you. When I play with my friends, I will insult them, make jokes about them, and have a good time. Your extreme sensitivity would suck to raid with. Btw, if I insult you, you can insult me. It's a fair deal. If you can't handle that, then I really don't want to raid with you.

TL;DR I'm a girl give me attention

Bearbeitet von TheTrickyTrixie: 2/8/2015 3:11:19 PMLove me a good Sandwich! Seriously though, I'm fairly new too gaming, I never really thought this was such an apparent issue among the community. Though so far I've been very welcomed by all the guys I've met, seems I'm just lucky :3

The question is what were you doing outside the kitchen? I'm totally kidding because it doesn't matter where you are as long as you're enjoying what you do. I'm sorry you dealt with that but there's always going to be people that way. But there are some that just do things like that as a joke. I'll be the first to admit I do it to my girlfriend not all the time but when I want to be playful and funny and she laughs and smacks me then tells me to make the food. Just don't mind what people say online in a video game because it doesn't really matter what they think.

Love your name. If your going to give a name of a BA woman of the galaxy. You hit the mark.

I really don't understand the hate with female players. I've got a cousin who plays and she is really a good player. Unfortunately she plays xbone and I'm on PS4. I don't discriminate on age or gender. If your willing to give it your all, new but willing to get better or just a really good player... that's all i ask in a gamer. I've been playing games since the first console came out (Atari 2600) and been playing since. I play to have fun. As technology grew where you can play with others anywhere in the world, my gaming experience grew. I love meeting new like minded gamers. I've met some really good people male and female, young and old. Keep fighting the good fight Guardian. Ignore the douchebags. Your place is where your heart is. :-)
-
2 Antworten"Keep fighting the good fight Guardians" something about that reminds me about Fallout 3, but seriously, i have a permanent raid team, and we have a girl in our group. Best part is: she's pretty much just like the rest of us. Funny and always complaining about RNG just like everyone else. I see no need to associate women with certain roles, as the same thing with men. #GenderEquality

1 AntwortenI get harassed all the time and I'm a dude. What I learnt is that they are behind a monitor or tv. They harass, insult and degrade because you can't physically do anything in return. You should have blocked as soon as you read the 1st message. But for some reason you decided to feed the troll. If your not looking for drama, whilst gaming, you should just ignore and carry on. If not then find another form of entertainment. This isn't a dig. Just some useful advice. There will always be trolls.

Look, I was raised by a strong, independent, single mother. I was taught to treat people as equals and I do. I have a number of female gamers in the clan I run with and they are mostly good players (about the same ratio of good to bad as the males, anyway). I respect them and enjoy the different perspective they bring to the hobby. All that said, I do see a disproportionate number of female gamers who put a feminine connotation in their gamer tags. Most fellows don't do this. While I get the whole girl gamer pride thing and don't think a female moniker is an excuse for the dudes to be dicks, it is somewhat of a red flare to the jerkwads out there.
-
I don't seem to get this crap, or at least not had any angry messages based on the fact I'm female. Have noticed though, on the couple of occasions a random has joined our party and an argument has taken place, the random will start on me outta nowhere even though I'm generally silent when it's going on. :/

1 AntwortenGuys make sandwiches to.
-
1 AntwortenYou have to realize a lot of these guys aren't used to talking to women or even people in general. They're the same ones that berate other men for "being a -blam!-" when they lose. It's just inadequate social skills in general.
-
I would just stay in the lobby as long as possible and wave at him every time I kill him :D
-
People like that are called trolls. Women being more sensitive, for the most part, are easy targets.
-
Meh, I think it's sad that people need to treat eachothers like this. And then there are people who are actualy defending this kind of behauvior. I'm not just talking about how gamers treat women, I'm talking about the whole deal. It's just a game, there is no need to make it into a personal thing. But I guess some people need to make it personal so they can win. To be fair, nothing will fix these idiots, but blocking makes sure you won't ever have to hear about them again.

Bearbeitet von Big_E': 2/8/2015 2:50:04 PM95% of crucible players are re.tards. Not once in any pve activity have girls in our group been talked to differently. So that's basically the reason.

im hungry :(

Look on bright side, you can't get kicked in the balls...

People on games especially, will say whatever they want because you can't see them and they'll get away with. Most of them are cowards and have many issues. Being a girl on a game is tough as it is. I do know a few girls who play and that I play with myself and none of us treat them any differently. We joke around have a few laughs and enjoy the game. Everyone is like, "omg a girl is on. We should talk shit cause we're immature". Wouldn't even take notice to all that bullshit. I get spammed with messages as well so it definitely doesn't matter too much about your gender. I agree being a girl is harder
