RIP Destiny 9/9/14 - 2/5/15.

Between constant weeks of disappointment from Xur and the recent Bungie weekly update, why should I keep playing? Especially that House of Wolves is not coming out until around June now. Playing only on Tuesdays is really the only way I can justify my time spent, unless a friend needs help. I have 3 level 32 characters (1 of each class) with all 331 raid weapons. There's really nothing more to do. [b]In regards to Xur:[/b] I'm not looking for exotics, I already have almost 3 of every exotic and 2 Gjallarhorns. As well as most of the helms and gauntlets for each class (the boots are garbage). Heavy ammo synthesis would be very nice though, given how much has been used since hard mode. Yes, I know I can farm glimmer on extraction zone. I have a full-time job and have farmed so much it just isn't worth my time anymore. I'm basically saying it would have been a nice gesture on Bungie's behalf to offer the synthesis given they've acknowledged the losing heavy ammo bug. Instead we get a big middle finger from Xur and Bungie. Please don't even bother saying Xur is RNG. [b]In regards to the Bungie weekly update:[/b] How about they just test out the following first... - Buff Pulse Rifles and NOT nerf every other gun. - Give mobs more health if TTK is [b][i][u]SO[/u][/i][/b] important. - Fix certain guns broken perks prior to nerfing them. Specifically the Word of Crota and Black Hammer. [b]In short...[/b] Bungie has continuously proved that they are in way over their heads with this game. Multiple mass nerfs, bugs galore, paltry content, constant game crashing errors, etc. What a joke this game has become. It has been in an uncontrollable downward spiral since The Dark Below was released.

  • I had to highlight this and bold it just because... [b]Bungie has not done a single thing correctly in the timeframe that this game has been live. Constant nerfs, bugs galore, paltry content, etc.[/b]

  • In the update they specified that they use a stat known as TTK or time to kill. They base all the adjustments on this factor, which as you guessed is the amount of time it takes to kill enemy "x" with gun "y". If they buff all other weapons they will throw off the TTK and people will be completing content faster and faster each update and it will significantly throw off the amount of time bungie intended you to spend on activities. To be clear here I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it all but that's the reason bungie gave.

      If raising the TTK for guns makes the game longer. Why not leave the guns untouched. And raise the health of all related enemies? They one make it longer to kill, and two leave the guns untouched by Buffs and De-Buffs. This leaves it open to buffs weaker guns and debuffing the stronger ones.

      • They're only nerfing slower RoF auto rifles (like SUROS which was what 1/5 people use in crucible, which it's kinda bad when a game has around 100 primaries and 1/5 players use 1. Pulse rifles needed a buff I think we can all agree on that. Hand cannons were too good at long ranges mainly because you could take the same damage from a handcannon at the same range as a scout rifle with the same damage output, which shouldn't be where handcannons shine. Fusion rifles were slightly OP at longer ranges against primaries so a slightly bigger cone makes sense. Shot guns in PvE are just terrible and I might actually use one after the update. Also they're taking some of the ammo from Fusions and Shotguns which is good because people are using them the entire start of the game and this should make people have to rely of something besides camping in a corner and waiting for people the entire match. Now they'll actually have to go get some special once in a while.
