RIP Destiny 9/9/14 - 2/5/15.
Between constant weeks of disappointment from Xur and the recent Bungie weekly update, why should I keep playing? Especially that House of Wolves is not coming out until around June now. Playing only on Tuesdays is really the only way I can justify my time spent, unless a friend needs help. I have 3 level 32 characters (1 of each class) with all 331 raid weapons. There's really nothing more to do.
[b]In regards to Xur:[/b]
I'm not looking for exotics, I already have almost 3 of every exotic and 2 Gjallarhorns. As well as most of the helms and gauntlets for each class (the boots are garbage). Heavy ammo synthesis would be very nice though, given how much has been used since hard mode. Yes, I know I can farm glimmer on extraction zone. I have a full-time job and have farmed so much it just isn't worth my time anymore.
I'm basically saying it would have been a nice gesture on Bungie's behalf to offer the synthesis given they've acknowledged the losing heavy ammo bug.
Instead we get a big middle finger from Xur and Bungie.
Please don't even bother saying Xur is RNG.
[b]In regards to the Bungie weekly update:[/b]
How about they just test out the following first...
- Buff Pulse Rifles and NOT nerf every other gun.
- Give mobs more health if TTK is [b][i][u]SO[/u][/i][/b] important.
- Fix certain guns broken perks prior to nerfing them. Specifically the Word of Crota and Black Hammer.

Bungie has continuously proved that they are in way over their heads with this game. Multiple mass nerfs, bugs galore, paltry content, constant game crashing errors, etc.
What a joke this game has become. It has been in an uncontrollable downward spiral since The Dark Below was released.

1 AntwortenJust quit destiny tonight, until the update. Nothing against the game but just want to do something else besides raiding for weapons. For the complainers... I challenge you to compare any $60 game to it if you are a lvl 32. If you played to 20 and quit then the connection issues or game play may have actually turned you off and that is understandable but if you played all those game hours and reached the top levels and are crying about it like so many people on here just ask mommy to buy you another game since you clearly have no concept of "you get what you pay for". And also please keep posting on destiny forums even though you don't play the game.

1 AntwortenI've seen more of these "quitting" posts since the dark below. Same story of all 32s with all max raid weapons. Saying they are quitting due to having nothing to do. People bitch they can't get armor and weapons in vault due to rng. Bungie fixes that in the new raid so we aren't grinding to 30 for months, and now people quit. All they are really nerfing is fusion rifles(needed this in pvp) and auto rifles(don't know many who use them besides Suros) and buffing pulse rifles which was severely needed. The other nerfs are minor. And maybe it's just me but I forget hive disruptor is even off on the black hammer half the time.

Yeah I agree totally. Why don't they run Queens again to give people something to do? Makes no sense that they already have something done that people can do to keep from being bored and they just sit with their thumb in it instead. I agree with Xur. Complete be, I don't care about him selling top end exotics as I have most but, would be cool if he was actually random to get a chance at the few armor pieces I'd collect.

1 AntwortenThe point about heavy ammo synth is good. The point about fixing weapons with nerfs while not fixing weapons with problems is also a good point. I couldn't imagine reaching end game like you though, all maxed characters and weapons is pretty amazing, I can understand why you don't want to play anymore. I on the other hand still enjoy the game.

Well first off, and I am guilty of this as well (I've played way too many hours in this game since its only been out about 5months lol) if you have burned yourself out already you just need to take a break for a lil bit. This is not a new phenomenon in gaming at all. Many mmos go thru this cycle because the "content locusts" will devour whatever you throw at them and expect more. Granted destiny doesn't have near as much content as most mmos, they both share many characteristics. Many people claim there is no story in destiny, but how many people that play mmos actually read or listen to all the quest givers to find out why you have to "kill x amount of enemies"? And those games you have to buy and pay a monthly sub. What both games come down to, is it a world you want to return to because you enjoy the gameplay or immersion? Well if you enjoy the gameplay and mechanics of a game then your sole motivation to play it should never be the "carrot on the stick". But just like in many mmos, they had to learn how to release things and put in gates to keep the carrot out there for the locusts that play simply because of the carrot on the stock motivation.
