Edit: after reading comments and trying to counter them with solutions I've found that no matter what it all comes back to old raid gear becoming useless, so the only solution i can see is just to find a way to make old raid gear upgrade able. But that idea would be cool for and exotic armor bounty or something, instead of doing tasks to get it you do tasks to upgrade it!
¥THIS IDEA HAS TOO MANY HOLES IN it¥

So to prevent HoW from instantly making ce gear irrelevant we can make the vender gears upgrades only unlock-able by completing tasks, kinda like the exotic bounty, each upgrade would have a task to complete before unlocking it. But the gear would have to put you at 31 for ce gear to still matter. Well thats my idea! What are your thoughts? What kind of tasks would you have to do? Complete a nightfall, raid, weekly, daily,?

1 AntwortenNo one is talking about the crucible gear which is standard at 18 light. Maybe after TDB they went back to change the vendor gear and just haven't changed the vanguard yet. There is still a minimum month before launch a lot of stuff can change.
-
4 AntwortenFrom the leaked images vendor gear will go to 32
-
Hopefully vendor gear doesn't get an upgrade. Otherwise Crota will be obsolete like VoG. Don't repeat the same mistakes bungie.
-
4 AntwortenJust make them go back to +27 light
-
1 AntwortenNah raids are going to become irrelevant eventually no matter what. I say get the -blam!- over it and move on.
-
4 AntwortenNaw, blam that keep it the way it is new raid gear one bit higher than vendor gear. And then new raid gear can only be upgraded with raid related material. You want to be elite this is the perfect system.
-
2 AntwortenI think we should have to hunt through earth until we find an animal. Then you jump it from behind and go in dry. So the amount and quality of the animals you -blam!- gives uou better armor.

1 AntwortenHere is my idea in another thread.
-
11 AntwortenDumb idea ESP if it's only 31 gear.
-
11 AntwortenThis is retarded on so many levels... Why not just provide a way to upgrade old gear so that we don't all look the same 5 days after the dlc drops. Make it challenging to upgrade old gear , but it should be an option. I'm honestly burnt out and tired of this game already, so if they don't provide a way to make old gear better and not let everything previous be completely obsolete then I'd still play. In all honesty this game is broken and I'm sad it took me this long to realize it. I don't see it surviving without some serious change.
